| My New Life - A Sad State of Affairs |
My New Life creates straightforward punk rock that carries an eerie undertone. This CD
explores real, serious human emotion with simple music, insightful lyrics and driving vocals.
My New Life showcases a variety of styles ranging from the punk rock “I Hate To See You Go…” to the acoustic sing-a-long “Dime
Song.” Despite the disc having an overall tone of sadness, sorrow and suffering, there is always an element of hope. By providing the listener with songs that are tragic yet
inspirational, My New Life offers a definitive departure from the ordinary!
Guest Vocals by Agent M from Tsunami Bomb (You Can't Have an Omelette...) and Dominic Davi from Love = Death (Hate to See You Go...)

| ahhh some more virginty to steal from MNL. A Sad State Of Affairs is a great follow up to their debut, Wasted Year. Tim yet again brings out his best lyrics and mixes it with great pop-punk. Catchy riffs, kick ass lyrics, great bass lines, and talented drumming make this band a fresh breath in the pop-punk scene and with a Jawbreaker cover of "Bad Scene, Everyone's Fault" there is no way in hell you could go wrong with this band. The only dissapointment I found was the missing song "Load In Play Load Out" which they recorded a video for and you can watch on myspace.com/mynewlife. other than that no complaints what so ever. Best tracks are Three Weeks, Let It Ride, Dime Song, and Get On Like You Been Shit On. Mos Def worth the price and expect big things from this band soon. |
