Fingers Cut Megamachine - Fingers Cut, MegaMachine EP
Fingers Cut, Megamachine! is a product of Devon Williams' (Epitaph's Osker, Aggravated Music's Roscoe) expeditious maturity from brat-punk to punk inspired, folk-esque acoustic rock and will easily appease fans of his previous two bands that have been left clamoring for more. Devon wrote all lyrics and music, sang and played guitar and bass on all tracks. Additionally, Mike Trujillo played drums on "laughs per minute" while Andy Kaulkin added Hammond-like organ on "I have what you want".

I remember when Osker broke up and just waiting for ANYTHING from Devon. Then he posted "Testament" on his website, and I thought it was great. It was the complete opposite of what I expected. A year or so later, this EP came out, and it just blew my mind. Paint Your Shoes is great. I Have What You Want is very catchy. It's just awesome.

This 7" is amazing. FCMM sounds really great on Vinyl. I have to say i am really sick of everyone comparing this to Osker...its not Osker so stop!... Osker has been one of my favorite bands since i was 12. This is something new and Devon is just simply a very talented songwriter. I recomend this to everyone who really appreciates great music and isnt just some other "music critic".

Hey it's Devin from Osker's new band...and they sure don't sound like Osker. But I can dig it. I guess this kind of follows the musical progression from Treatment 5 to Idles Will Kill to this 4 song 7". If you've heard Disconnect, Disconnect and Patience from Idle Will Kill then you are in the right direction sound wise. Oh I just thought of a good comparison...they're kinda like a cross between Osker (singing voice) and the Weakerthans (instrumentals). Of course these guys aren't even close to being a clone, but hopefully that will give you a good idea of how these guys sound if you've never heard them before.
