Cease to Dream is the reason that I bought this cd. I thoroughly enjoy that song. The rest of the cd is very well constructed and an enjoyable listen... the other tracks just don't grab me like that one did. You can't go wrong with the price, so just buy it and enjoy it for what it is.

i read in some magazine( i think a.p.) that this band has metalcore down evern better then poison the well. Well they wernt completely wrong. i don't think its fair comparing them to poison the well but this does tickle my fancy. Thick metallic gutairs ove blood curdling screams right down to beautifuly sung melodies. i give it a 4 out of 5. not a bad addition to any emo-core metal-core loves collection

This cd is amazing. I love it, especially the last track, "Hold My Hand." The end is amazing with all of the different vocals going at the same time. Definately worth the money. Buy it.......now.

A really good album. Even if you don't like melodic hardcore I recommend checking this out. The singer also plays the xylophone and it adds more to some of the melodic parts its in. I wasn't expecting it to be this good and I can't wait for a future release. Worth the $6.75, very much worth it.

8/8/2003 by Keenan from Whitehorse, YT Canada Rating:
Sweet merciful crap this album is great. It's beautiful. It will make your hair stand on ends. Just listen to it full volume. It's melodic hardcore with lots of screaming. It's indie so it's not the generic stuff that's making it out on the mainstream. Plenty of hardcore breakdowns but songs like Cease to Dream and Hold my Hand are so beautiful and sweet... that... whatever, buy it! It's long for an EP too. Hold my Hand is so great. If only we could get away with playin it on Christian radio without getting flack.

3/14/2003 by Ryan from Highland, CA Rating:
Embraced is a great emo/metal/oldschool hardcore band. Almost like... Underoath. They have old school screams with some soft vocals and emo parts. Perfect mix of hardcore and emo. Song 6 even has a xylophone in it! No one can NOT like this CD.

3/4/2003 by Khalid from Tempe, AZ Rating:
what a great debut...unlike other hardcore bands and their debut albums, the songs are long and quite polished. the scream/sing exchange is perfect and man can this guy sing. overall a great 7 song record. good luck to these guys and we'll be listening. peace.

2/11/2003 by Jon from Naperville, IL Rating:
I first heard some of embraced's songs on mp3. I really liked what I heard so I decided to buy this cd. This cd is worth the cheap amount I paid for it, the cd only has 7 songs, but it is still over a half-hour long. The creativity of this band is great, in one song they have a xylophone playing, which isn't rare for other styles, but since the band could fit into the hardcore genre it shows they aren't afraid of being creative. i really like this band's vocalist, somewhat similar to the vocals of older .hopesfall. i'll be playing this cd for a long time.
