| Brilliant. I thought nothing could top their cd [Foreword] but this one has easily surpassed it. Their talent as musicians is highly respected by myself and anyone who appreciates any band that can make a mockery of genre boundries. Every single song is amazing. The band as a whole is as solid as ever and individually they are supreme. The drummer is insane, he plays the crazyest beats I've ever heard. The guitar work, including bass, on this record is very well done. I've always been a big fan of the singers voice as it remains great on this record. Choke is an amazing band that can completly change their music with every record, and it all cases it's a good thing, but thats not to say that their other records aren't good. It will be interesting to see the next step for this band, I can't possibly imagine what that will be like after hearing this work of art but I know it will blow everyone away, for the 6th time. Choke is the best band in Canada for all time. |

| beauty. These guys have progressed with each album, with this one they have arrived at a more melodic, yet still intense, blend of punk rock, math, indie, emo, and hc. It is not as fast as there last album, foreword, and that would ususally piss me off, but not at all in this case. There is so much to listen to on this record, insane drum beats, layered vocals, amazing lyrics, and beautifully structured guitar and bass parts.
If you want something that doesn't sound like anything else, check out one of these mp3's.
Check out there older shit too. |

| Some bands are content to stay in their comfort zone. Others strive on reinventing themselves with every record. Neither one of these is good or bad except that the former seems to make things much more interesting. Choke has yet again released an album that pushes the musical boundaries of punk rock, yet still retains parts of the foundations they layed down with their previous records. The music found on "There's A Story To This Moral" is an amalgamation of many of the good things left in punk rock today, plus a whole lot more. If you enjoy a challenging listening experience that is unlike anything you've ever heard, this is the record for you. |

| I was impressed with chokes musical ablity and overall talent. I just wish they would use their talent for good instead of evil. It's definitely like no other band you heard, which doesn't neccisarily make it good. If you really want to hear these guys check out needless to say, it's well played and has more direction to the music. |
