Brownie Points is definately a Rock band with horns....not a punk ska band, if that's what any of you think. Actually, they almost sound like an emo or alternative band with horns, and that really does not make a very good combination, in my opinion. The CD is not as engergetic as I had expected. The vocals are decent, the bands mellody is ok, and the sound quality is good, but the horns need to go. Horns were not made for this type of music. The songs are already mellow enough, the horns just seem to make them drag more. Good band, but just a bad mix of instuments, vocals and genre. There's still a few decent songs on this CD.
