New Jersey Joystick - New Song For The Ride
the first, last & only full length from this amazing NJ band. they matured greatly near the end, combining pop punk, emo and indie in an incredible way. imagine the get up kids, the smoking popes and hot water music together. talented vocals, great lyrics ripped from your life and music that is catchier than a glue trap.

if i wasnt from NJ ..i wouldnt buy this cd. its just short of horrible. harmonizing doesnt exist. its almost painful to listen to. definitley not the best NJ has to offer. nice cover art though. so...yeah...dont buy this cd unless youre like...12 and live in NJ.

I couldn't decide whether to give this one 3 or 4 stars, but I went with 3 because of lack of originality. Don't get me wrong, these are some great pop punk/emo tunes, and from a local band in Jersey at that. The guitar work and lyrics are pretty good and the music is catchy, but not in that annoying new found glory sense. NJ Joystick is one of the really good bands to come out of the thriving NJ scene. These are some talented young guys who could have gone on to better things if they hadn't broken up. The album cover is cool, the music is good, and the cd is only 7 bucks. Although I only give it 3 stars, I suggest you give this one a listen.

great cd. as with much of the N.J. punk scene, i used to be part of it until i came to cottonshit, AZ, many bands are picking up where Lifetime left off. this cd is great while driving. i'm glad that inerpunk caters to the local bands.

| I have been listening to alot of local pop/emo bands from New Jersey for somtime now.. New Jersey Joystick is one of the most origanal emo bands ive heard.. They have got a great sound going on for them.. its a shame they broke up and havent put anything new out there... I enjoy all the songs on the album.. I suggest anyone whos into emo and loves the Jersey scene picks this sweet ass cd up...
