This digitally re-mastered version of "No Control" comes with new art and finally allows you to hear this album the way it was meant to be heard! "No Control" is one of the albums that helped bridge the band's more reckless earlier direction with their more focused (but just as pissed-off) '90s-era. The strength of such cuts as "Big Bang," "Automatic Man," the title track, and "I Want to Conquer the World." NO CONTROL is one of the bands best all-time albums and an archetypal blueprint for the genre. Bad Religion has been setting the standard for years; this album is yet another stone in the band?s long road to identity and style.

I have to say it must have been a daunting task to follow the highly praised Suffer, but Bad Religion pulled it off with flying colors with 1989's No Control. To me this sounds like a Suffer II, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's a harder, faster and overall more aggressive record than it's predecessor and that's all you can really say about it. I'm sure everyone listened to this record once in there life if they are a punk fan, and you haven't GO PICK IT UP!

Classic, classic, classic. Get this if you don't have it. Probably their fastest album, but awesome. Right up their with their best.

Fun, fast, smart. All the music is very catchy and the lyrics made me check my dictionary more than a few times. This CD happens to be the favorite of many fans, but I enjoyed Against the Grain or Generator more. Those CDs have the energy and the drive, and have more melodical and intricate music.

so yeah, this is my favorite Bad Religion album. stuff like this is pretty much the reason i love punk rock. if there were albums like "No Control" coming out anymore, the world would probably be a much better place. not to mention Greg Graffin is an incredible writer. i got extra credit in my english class from Bad Religion lyrics. classy stuff my friends, classy stuff. in summation: it's fast. it's political. it's really good punk rock.

If your going to be a bad religion album, you know it's gotta be good. Reissue of one of their best cds, even though some of the songs weren't exactly my shpiel. A definite must buy if your a Bad Religion fan.

11/28/2004 by Benjamin from Boston, MA Rating:
This is the first Bad Religion album I bought, and it's a good place to start. The songs are fast and powerful; "Big Bang" and "I Want Something More" are definitely standout tracks. Regardless of your view of the current scene, this album is definitely a slice of punk rock at its peak from a band who really knew what they were talking about. The remastering is evident and alas, some of the songs have noticeable drops in volume here and there. Overall though, well worth the money if that's how you judge these things.
