Remembering Never go directly for your throat. No compromising, no pretty pictures Remembering Never are Florida's most discontent export, "Women and Children Die First" is the follow up to their 2001 debut album, "She Looks So Good In Red". After steady touring around the Us in support of "She Looks so Good In Red" Remembering Never spent the fall of 2003 in a garage reworking their sound as well as their outlook.

Musically "Women and Children..." shows the maturity gained after months on the road, and the frustration with a world at war. The record is heavier and faster; an altogether brutal final product that will force you to move.

This cd is hardcore at it's finest. It doesn't sound like anything i have ever heard before. You should get this if you like hardcore on the verge of metalcore. There is a lot of screaming, but the parts where he sings its very eloquent. GET THIS TODAY!!!

12/3/2004 by Zach from Denton, TX Rating:
I have to give these guys credit. Their last album was a piece of genuine crap, but this one is a vast improvement. It's still not earth shattering though. They did their best to improve upon the last album and it worked. So give them another shot, you might like it even more than I do.

this cd is a great disappointment. it was like taking drums and guitars, mixing a few notes and screams and throwing it into a fan, watching it splash into the wall. the best part of the album is the cover artwork. other than that the album liner is a better read than actually listening to it.

9/12/2004 by Jason from North Huntingdon, PA Rating:
To clairfy, in the booklet it actually says "She Looks So Good In Red" was the album they were disappointed with, not this one.

Anyways, this cd is good although it takes a while to warm up to. Its a huge departure from "She Looks...". The emo stuff is completly gone. So is most of pete's singing, which I actually liked a lot. So at first this cd basically just seems like breakdown, after breakdown, after breakdown. Which is normally BORING, but for some reason, this works.

Aside from that, theyres also some really cool creative guitar work thrown in the cracks between breakdowns. And I love Pete's lyrics. I think thats what really makes this album work more then anything else. Its like listening to meaningful poetry, except its scream and theres chugga chugga in the background. A winning combination. Buy this.

instead of growing faster every album like most other bands, Remembering Never has taken a slower pace this time.. good choice.. this cd is more hardcore with superheavy breakdowns covering the entire album.. still a bit of metalcore also.. you can compare the heaviness of the album with Throwdown's "Haymaker".. only slightly heavier i guess.. you can't really compare this album with the previous one.. it's very different.. so i'll say it's about as good as "She Looks So Good In Red".. maybe a bit better even.. it just sounds more.... complete?

4/1/2004 by John from Bronx, NY Rating:
When my friend played the first CD for me, I didn't like it at all....somethiing just wasn't right about it. Then this album came out and totally blew the first away. He told me to give this CD a try because he felt I wouold like it more than the first....and he was right. Only 4 stars b/c 5 is reserved for greatness.

3/31/2004 by Mikey from Manchester, United Kingdom Rating:
Oh my god....i cant say enough about this CD, or the band for that matter!!! These guys truely are the greatest band around at the moment, and this release just proves what i mean. I havent played another CD since i bought this, each song is so different it would be impossible to pick a favourite!!!

TRUST ME, YOU NEED THIS IN YOUR LIFE.

3/4/2004 by Adam from Maidenhead, United Kingdom Rating:
I think its easier to like the IDEA of Remembering Never rather than actually like Remembering Never

There opnions in the cd booklet are really good and they clearly know what they want to tell the world, also they are a very talented band

but as with there last cd, its overlong, the songs are all over the place and frankly are just very boring.

Still the artwork looks cool

2/22/2004 by Jeremy from Cape May Court House, NJ Rating:
WOW. This cd is amazing. BUY IT. You won't be disappointed. Non stop ass-kicking right here. For fans of PTW and others.

2/16/2004 by Grayson from Aiken, SC Rating:
I was extremely disappointed in this album. It hurts to say so but this is probably the worst collection of songs by Remembering Never. If you read the booklet they actually admit that this CD is NOT what they meant to produce in the studio and it was a disappointment for them as well. Their breakdown are terrible, practically all are identical through this album. Every song feels the same. Loud, ruff, and crappy. The vocals are alittle different than on their album "She Looks so good in red." Overall, nothing is very good about this album. I'm not sure what they were trying to do, maybe they don't know either.... Try some Hamartia, or at least their previous album, "She Looks So Good In Red." Now that's hardcore.
