Avskum - Punkista!
Charged and furious, classic Swedish Punk carved out of D-Beat and DISCHARGE, blasting with Hoarse vocals and a wall of guitars. This is the third Lp by Swedish legend's AVSKUM, who have existed on and off the swedish hardcore punk scene since the early 1980's. This LP is marked with unqiue twists and turns that challenge and defy the formula while satisfying both fans of the bands old dirgy style "Ingen Manniska Ar Illegal" and full on DISCHARGE style attack "Children of war". Vital and powerful, Punkista was recorded at Sunlight Studios (entombed) in 2002.

Great Swedish D-beat album. They change the pace a little bit with "I Hate Your Fucking War Song", but most of the album are straight forward d-beat punk rock. Songs like "State Terrorism" and "The Children of War" especially caught my attention. You like discharge? You like Avskum. Enough said.

Punkista is an awesome album. These guys play awesome Scandi-thrash/D-beat that is certainly worth buying. I'd had this album on vinyl and liked it so much that I also had to buy it on cd to listen to in the car. Contains some great anti-imperialist and anti-war tunes.

A brutal onslaught of modern Swedish d-beat hardcore. At first I was kind of worried about a new album from an old band that recently got back together, but the second I listened to it I was absolutely blown away. If you like Wolfbrigade/Wolfpack, this is for you.
