The rise from a lo-fi Illinois garage band to California speed-punks to Seattle proto-grunge kings, The Dwarves are death on eight legs: the most bizarre and misunderstood punk band of all time, inspiring mayhem live, carving brutality on wax and warping the minds of a generation. "The Dwarves Are Young and Good Looking" is a release sure to cripple those who said that it could not be done.

The Dwarves broke up after they released the album Sugarfix, which you can buy combined with Thank Heaven For Little Girls. You should buy that first. A few years later they got back together and released this album with a different line-up and sounded more like new-school punk, but good. The last song is especially good.

Good CD, you gotta love The Dwarves. The best part about this CD is how it was released, thats funny as hell to me. And saying "it was a punk rock thing to do" makes it even better. The only bad part about this CD is after the last song it goes on and says "The Dwarves are young and good looking" a couple of times and then nothing for like 14 minutes or some shit. But all in all its good.

So..it was my first purchase from The Dwarves..did I like it..fuck yes. I've heard a lot of stuff from them before buying this, ranging from their beginning to present. I know this has more of a pop-punkish type sound to it [kinda] but I still think it rocks, especially my fav "The Crucifixion Is Now." It doesn't sound like their older stuff too much, but I still like it. For $10, it was well worth it.
