| bad brains-self titled lp really impressed me when i first bought it on cassette back in the early 90's. i had "i against i" in the late 80's, which was in my tape player for awhile, but when i had bought this i didn't know what to except, having heard around that it was more fast hardcore than eye, finally when i got this, slipped in the deck and was blown away, true "i against i" is more rock alternative, but for me it dosen't make the slightest difference,both speak for themselves,whether fast hardcore or rock alternative, this band is one of a kind, no doubt they have their own sound,not any way to describe them if you never heard them,but to me these guys are top-notch, tear you a new ass-hole. glad it was vinyl, vinyl to me always sounded more live old school to me, and getting this on record for me is a real good listen. |

| Its the bad brains, need i say more? The first album from the bad brains and obviously the best. When i first put this on my Turntable and heard that opening riff i knew i was gonan be blwon away. Buy this shit |

| As Yauch of the Beasti Boys said, this is the greatest punk/hardcore album of all time. This is the Bad Brains just after their beginning, and in the prime of their hardcore nature. The reggae songs are very good as well, but you will want to buy this album for songs such as Riot Squad, Big Take Over, Attitude, etc... A must buy for any punk/rock/hardcore fan. |

| I would give this a formal review, but it's not really neccesary. We all know how much this record rules. It's essential to hardcore and punk, and it's essential to everyone's collection. Plus, it sounds even better on vinyl. So, get it. |

| bad brains rule. banned in DC is probly a better one, has all the same songs plus more and is recorded better, but this one is still a classic. |

| bad brains puts out a great record here. they remind me of dc punk which they are and a lil bit of cool smooth reggae. fukkin guitars remind me a bit of poison idea. there is only one bad brains...get the LP cuz its limited. |

| This is some very cool DC hardcore. Truly innovative sound, mixing old school hardcore with some rockin' reggae tunes. I'd definitely check these guys out if you haven't already. |

| this is a great record . one of the best i own the only problems i have with it is that some of the regae songs are a bit to long and there's no cow bell in pay to cum . besides that it is amazing and if you like the bad brains buy it! |
