Another awesome classic that has some how avoided my collection over the last 15 years. Great songs from a time period where it seemed like this was the band to end all bands. Unfortunately that didn't happen. I hear that there is a great documentary in the works for this band. I look forward to seeing it. Their new album is pretty good too, but this is a must have!

8/5/2008 by Erik from London, ON Canada Rating:
Fantastic. This is it. The very best hardcore cd of all time. Yes I said hardcore. The piss in your eye shit in your mouth Hardcore from the eightys back when it wasn;t about stupid protools! THis album sounds fantastic and wasn't recorded using any special equipment. What you hear is what you get. Just gritty hard, fast, which HR's vocals full on and at the point of insanity! THis is by far the most talented hardcore band to ever exist and who ever will. No one will ever repeat this period. Buy this album or you can't say that you know anything about hardcore. See you in the pit with my elbow to your face.

8/25/2007 by Will from Edmond, OK Rating:
This cd is defenatly good but it loses steam at the end, it picks it back up again with pay to cum but then its pretty much done, defenatly love most of the songs though, my favorite punk song is shitfit and my favorite reggae song is leaving babylon

7/29/2006 by Micheal from Aberdeen, SD Rating:
Its a classic album. Sailing on kicks the thing off and its represents everything punk was at the time, and should be today-but isn't. Fast and raw. I am torn between this and I against I as to which I like better, even though the two disks are not very similar.

12/20/2005 by Howard from Moonachie, NJ Rating:
this shit is nice. that superquick punk you love. the quality of the sound isnt great but it doesnt detract form the listening experience. pay to cum is even faster on this album than the one i heard. definatly get this. there are 2 or 3 reggae tracks on here. this is harcore but dont expect shit like Agnostic Front, Minor Threat, or Negative Approach but it doesnt mean u wont love it if u love those. the best part of Bad brains is HR. his vocals are insane, like nothing else u know AND IM A MEMBER OF THE FVK

5/10/2005 by Sean from Birdsboro, PA Rating:
This is the debut album for the fastest hardcore band in history. Well, they're probably not the fastest anymore, but this is definitely a must have.

4/28/2005 by Jack from Mt. Top, PA Rating:
This was a total impulse purchase and i didn't know what to expect. I frankly, dont like it at all. I'm not a fan of this type of hardcore and the reggae songs were really weak. If you like early new york hardcore and bands like minor threat you could get into this, but i dont give any guarentees b/c im generally an idiot. I do, for some reason really like the song "Pay to Come". Dont let the Rastafarian colors fool you!

3/16/2005 by Daniel from Indianapolis, IN Rating:
I was really surprised w/ this one afer hearing "I Against I". This CD rocked almost all the way through, w/ the exception of a couple of slowed down rasta tracks, but I guess the hardcore BB fans dig that shit too, so what ever. So anyway buy this CD if you like oldschool hardcore punk, you won't be dissapointed, and stay away from "I Agsinst I"

12/24/2004 by Laura from Morrisville, PA Rating:
BUY THIS CD! You will not regret it! This has to be one of the greatest hardcore punk albums ever. Such classics as Banned in D.C., Sailin on,FVK, etc. Anyone who is first getting into hardcore punk this is a must have.

12/1/2004 by Matt from Apple Valley, CA Rating:
Possibly the best NYHC band ever put together. This albumn goes by fast except the reggae songs and those are perfect.
