KRAUT formed the golden (or Bermuda) triangle of New York Punk in the early eighties along with REAGAN YOUTH and THE MISFITS. Good friends with SEX PISTOL Steve Jones, who plays 2nd guitar on some of the cuts presented here, KRAUT had the first punk video to by played on MTV ("All Twisted") and "Unemployed" was an anthem of the time. Doug Holland went on to play in THE CRO-MAGS

11/12/2006 by Patrick from Milltown, NJ Rating:
AMAZING. kraut is a great band . From the linear notes it seemed that this band was preaty big for a hardcore band way back when so i don't know why theese guys aren't as well known as the misfits or dead kennedys but i think they should be.

7/25/2006 by Jacob from Thomson, GA Rating:
Pretty good...generic early 80s punk. Reminds me of alot of British stuff. To me, the best song is Sell Out or Pyramids.

4/6/2006 by Drew from Okc, OK Rating:
This CD sucks. Historically they were an important band but I like to review albums on how good they actually are. Some songs stand out a little but mostly they all sound the same. Download All Twisted and Kill for Cash and leave it at that.

3/29/2006 by Rob from Logan, UT Rating:
this cd is pretty fucking cool. the recording is kinda shitty but it's still a cd you should pick up right away if you're a fan of 80's punk. buy it if you like reagan youth, exploited, misfits ect.

9/17/2005 by Pat from Medford, OR Rating:
Really good punk rock...for fans of the 80s punk. You won't be let down, I promise. If I am wrong, don't sue me...fuck it.

6/16/2005 by Richard from Mankato, MN Rating:
Classic punk, A band you don't hear about much but should. two members went on to play in the almighty Cro-Mags. This band influenced many a great NYHC bands, check out Gorilla Biscuits, Civ, Crown of Thorns. The recordings on this disc sound great, they have the sound that a punk record should have not overproduced. Check it for a peice of punk histroy, don't forget your roots

7/25/2004 by Alex from Norwalk, CA Rating:

11/8/2003 by Nevin from Atascadero, CA Rating:
This is a pretty good cd. I would recommend it to fans of 80's hardcore. The greatest band ever is... Flat Top Tony and The Purple Canoes. I madeit up. I know, I didn't. It's from Mr.Show, a really funny show you should check out. The End.

8/18/2003 by Jeroen from Den Bosch, Netherlands Rating:
A very good CD. A must have for everybody who's interested in old NYHC and wants to know where Cro-Mags Doug Holland started. Some briljant songs on this one.
