Straightforward mid-to-late 90s melodic punk. It also happens to be really great. I loved the driving beat, and the emotional lyrics help bring it together as well. It's nice to have all the tracks from their Fat 7-inches on one disc.

Boy...did I miss the boat on this band years ago. Only now do my ears enjoy the sophisitication of 88 Fingers Louie. When I was younger, they just sounded like another punk band to me. I think Kid Dynamite is to thank for me discovering 90's hardcore acts that I didn't appreciate at the time. I think this releases is a compilation of all of their 7"s on Fat Wreck Chords? Good stuff.

This is a good CD. It has kind of an old school punk sound to it. I got it because most of the guys from Rise Against were in this band. I thought they would sound like R.A., but they don't, but that's good, becuase they still rock. I would buy 88 Fingers Up Your Ass first though, because it has more songs, and is a little better. This still gets a 5 though, because it's awesome, and has weird funny lyrics.

88 Fingers Louie had a mix of hardcore, emo, and just regular old punk rock. Most bands that describe themselves like that are horrible, but not 88FL. This is a compilation of their Fat 7 inches, and it's an excellent introduction to these guys.

An excellent album with the classic song "Go Away" which is featured on one of the many Fat Wreck. compilations. However, despite how much I enjoy the music, the production is horrible. It annoys me to listen to this album because I have to turn the volume up so high. It's almost tedious. Nonetheless I love the tunes. Classic 88 fingers. Just straight, hard guitars and driving drum beats with an occasionally screaming, occasionally emotionally belting voice. I guess this is considered hardcore. Although it's much more melodic than most hardcore I've ever listened to. Although if you want to pick up your first 88 fingers album, get the one with "100 Proof" on it. I think it is their last to be released before the B-sides album. Send comments to Haven234@aol.com
