I've had "Liberation Frequency" on my computer for some time now, as it was on some comp. I bought. Every so often I'd see the "New Noise" vid. I kind of really didn't like either song when I first heard them...and then I kind of really fell in love with them. Thus, I decided to buy this CD. I've only ever heard a handful of other Refused songs, but I think that these are my favorite. This CD is quite spectacular; it makes me angry that I wasn't into this band when I was 7.

This is a good CD, there is some songs that shouldn't be on it, but most songs are really great. The best songs are The Deadly Rythm, Summerholidays Vs. Punkroutine and New Noise.

This is not as good as Songs To Fan The Flames of Discontent but, it's still good and it's worth the buy.

I have only listened to this album once since buying it, so don't take this review super seriously. I didn't like it too much. My favorite song, and the reason I bought the album, is new noise. Few of the songs have the same real passion as that one. The album is not awful, but it is not as good as I expected. A few good songs, but I havent listened enough to tell you what they are. Maybe buy this album, but not if you think all the songs have the energy of something like new noise.

To be honest, I was almost disappointed when I first listened to this CD. I listened to it a few more times, and now I can't stop. Incredible. This comes from someone who isn't even a fan of the "hardcore" genre, at all.

Buy this CD.

5/21/2005 by Michael from Thunder Bay, ON Canada Rating:
This cd isn't as good as the songs I heard led me to belive, probably because I heard 5 or 6 songs off of this before I bought it, so there weren't many new songs for me to hear. My favourite songs are New Noise, Refused Are Fucking Dead, Refused Party Programme and a few others. if you like T(I)NC or any music with screaming, pick this up.

12/29/2004 by Lisa from Stow, OH Rating:
This is one of the first cd's I listened to when I started my foray into punk music. At the time, it was such a new sound for me that I was left pretty well flabbergasted for the first few tries. I knew right off the bat it was a fantastic album, but I felt like I had to really open my ears to appreciate the true quality of this album.

Shape of Punk to Come was truly that - it defined the genre for literally dozens of bands that would soon follow. Refused continues to be unique and original even though their albums were released years ago and the band has since broken up. I think that's a rare feat that deserves kudos, regardless of whether or not you appreciate the music.

This album stands as a classic in my books, not only because it was the start of my true appreciation for punk music, but also because it holds its own amid so many other bands who emerged when punk suddenly became the cool thing to listen to.

A friend of mine referred this album to me. I figured I'd check it out. I really like it but i don't love it. at least not yet. It'll probably grow on me. anyway....the lyrics are very good and the music is diverse thought the whole CD. If you like bands with political, revolutionary lyrics you'll love refused.

5/11/2004 by Chris from Sterling Heights, MI Rating:
GREAT! this cd is amazing. amazing amazing amazing. The greatest hardcore cd...ever! dennis's vocals are amazing and fit the music and songs perfectly. Not ONE flaw with this cd. PERFECT. GREAT. A masterpiece. Not to mention the lyrics are some of the most thought provoking and well written lyrics i have ever heard. If you are into hardcore, punk, hell even emo you will like this and if not you will at least appreciate it.

If you like them check out The International Noise Conspirazy (Dennis's new project)

A "five" just isn't enough.

This is the best piece of music I've ever listened to. Without a doubt. I've had it for over two years, but I had it burned. I just caved and purchased it.

Obtain this somehow. Right now.

"There is no destination, but with a goal in mind we can all be realistic and demand the impossible."

It's revolution with a catchy phrase, my friends.
