Eve really pushes the anarcho-feminist view point on this album, which i reckon is great. The lyrics are good and the music is queer. Its different from their other stuff, I like it a lot.

12/7/2007 by Dan from Mosinee, WI Rating:
i love crass, and if your a crass fan you need this, if you want to get into them, pick up feeding the 5000... but more about PENIS ENVY... i hate using the lable, cuase the band was started and shit to get away from all that, but for understanding and shit ill use it, Anarcho/Punk, they are by far the best Anarcho/Punk band and one of my favorit bands of all time, they put forth 110% into each album and 3 times the ammoust into this album, the entire album is amazing, and for some info on it the last song (unlisted o the album) was a big prank... yeah yeah yeah, well... The best part of this album and what makes it the best album out of all the crass records there are... is the More Complesx music arrangements and poetic lyrics written... As well as exclusivly female vox provided by yours truly...Eve Libertine and Joy De Vivre... Steve Ignorant didnt quit the band or anything for the album, he was just not in the recording of penis envy....hes credited too on the back ,,....whateva. It was recorded back in 81 and it still impacks us a great deal, for me atleast and its fans i supose... The album addresses feminist issues and once again attacked the institutions of 'the system' such as marriage and sexual repression. Check it out, cuase its one of a kind....

-ya just gotta love crass man...

5/3/2007 by Filippo from Montreal, PQ Canada Rating:
This is time, the lead band singer is a female, but it doesnt stop Crass making good weird punk music. usually bands sound like other bands by using same sounds, but in Crass's case, they are truly unique. You combine the fact that it contains strong lyrics that may or may not offend the regular Joe, but what would Crass be without those lyrics???

5/23/2006 by Nicky from Anderson, CA Rating:
Crass is so cool. This is the first CD from them that I bought and when I listened to it, I went out and bought Christ The Album, and was kinda disapointed. Dunno why. I just was. Anywho. it's an awesome anarco-feminist album and Eve just rocks.

Oh, the hidden track is fucking funny as hell if you know the story behind it.

2/3/2006 by Stephen from Kenosha, WI Rating:
this is rather good. after listening to the FOT5000 album, this isn't really bad. It's recommended for those who are missing this album, but not for newbies of the band (not right away anyway) listen to one of the other albums before getting into this. this CD has 10 songs, Our wedding is a CD exclusive track, but does not say the track name on the back of the case. I would of gave this album a 4 if it was all Joy De Vivre on this (she can get annoying on some songs, but she was pretty good on Shaved women on Best Before 1984). Eve is better for this band than her.

8/20/2005 by Doug from Lancaster, CA Rating:
this is a good cd. its the most clear crass cd that i have heard and rather feminist. its straightforward about what she thinks and its a good fuckin cd. one of the songs on here was voted one of the top love songs of all time...too bad those fuckers didnt know she was mocking love.

1/31/2005 by Tyler from Quesnel, BC Canada Rating:
agh, the reveiws of this cd are horrible! never would i think i would see such sexist shit on a crass review! for fuck sakes. ill reveiw this fairly. ahem: the lyrics in this album are very ispiring, especially from a males point of veiw. the point of the album is to help destroy sexism, especially in the punk scene. the music is all very good, ranging from very catchy to pretty dischordant at times. its even got a song you can play at your wedding on it! anyway i think that will do crass some justice.

10/20/2004 by Andreas from Cincinnati, OH Rating:
Crass remain the one band in anarcho-punk who will never be irrelevant. to me, this record represents their finest moment, a sarcastic, biting indictment of everything you thought you knew about sex, gender, love, and patriarchy. hostile as fuck, and ready to kick your ass.

5/31/2004 by Pablo from Carrollton, TX Rating:
3.5 actually, i like it but i sold it already :/ it just doesnt have as many good songs as it should. its a little to extreme on the feminist part, because, well who needs any of that, women have their position in society the way they were born i would only respect so few because the rest cant respect themselves if their life depended on em and that includes 85% of the so called feminist movement. yes a documented writing states the fact womean have been 2nd to man it is sad but woman cant do anything about it unless they kill off every man, if they did that i would respect them, but since thats not going to happen i give crass's rhetoric yelling for female liberation 3.5...first and second songs are good

7/17/2003 by Ryan from Celina, OH Rating:
Very good if your a fan of Eve Libertine's vocals because Steve Ignorant is completely absent in this cd. Starts of with Bata Motel which is the only song that the courts ever found a problem with (which means its good). Where Next Columbus is very good also. Shows the commonly looked over feminist side of Crass.
