Curl Up And Die - But The Past Ain't Through With Us
Curl Up And Die

The companion EP to "We may Be Through with the Past" (Status) and recorded in Boston at God City Studios by Kurt Ballou (Converge), "But the Past..." provides the listener with Curl Up And Die's patented sound of thick, gut wrenching metal, 'calculus-core' thrash, angular post-rock and of course clever (and lengthy) song titles. In addition to vocal work that's closer to 'singing' than on previous releases, the twelve minute epic which closes the EP ("God is in his Heaven, All is Right With the World") is testament to the group's forward thinking mindset and constant musical progression.

Great second-half ep, to "We May Be Through With The Past...", produced by someone who knows what they're doing when it comes to heavy music. I don't think you should own one w/out the other. Original, is all I thought of when I first heard theses guys, totally diggin on the shout outs to P.T. Anderson. Sweet album art, too, always from these guys.
