$11.75

In the roughly four years since their inception, this Orange County outfit's musically muscular intimidation, clearly focused purpose and irrepressible drive has allowed Bleeding Through to savagely claw their way up from the hardcore underground and quickly become a force to be reckoned with across several genres. Bleeding Through has arrived to stake their claim as heir to the legacy of the heavy metal forefathers of yore.

Just take one listen to the tightly wound, convincingly proficient, brutally pummeling and absolutely devastating sound of "This Is Love, This Is Murderous" and there'll be no need for further convincing. Imagine the heaviness of Meshuggah, the fierce yet melodic sensibilities of In Flames and the undeniable credibility of Hatebreed, and you may begin to formulate some idea of what this band can do.

On the strength of this masterpiece, you'll soon see Bleeding Through's dark, Samhain like image, uplifting and engaging stage persona and blackened and New-Wave-of-Swedish-Heavy-Metal-charged devastation attack your town.

This in my opinion is the best Bleeding Through CD. It's a much more thoughtful album than The Truth, which although it is good it doesn't really compare to This Is Love This Is Murderous. Overall the album fits together better and doesn't have periods of good songs then ones that are confusingly chaotic like in The Truth.

Hard Fucking Core....I love this album dearly...The lyrics really spoke to me...And the drums are amazing...the snare durm sounds sort of like a field drum and I really dig that....I also really dig the bass on here too....just as heavy as the guitars...and Brandens vocals are AWESOME!! I also think that the keyboards create a really creepy edge to the music...sort of like Samhain in a way..All in all..this album is fucking amazing...i would recomend it to anyone old or new to the hardcore scene...

5/7/2004 by Patrick from Urbandale, IA Rating:
This cd kicks ass. It's not as brutally heavy as their last release but it is heavier then most stuff out there. Branden's vocals are still devastating. He sings a little more on this album. The new keyboardist isn't as good as the original. But, her style fits the new cd pretty good. The sound quality is excellent. The drums kick my ass with every pulvarising beat and the guitars are heavy and technical. They've added a little bit more metal to their hardcore roots. This cd is well worth the money and time. Give it your full attention.

Saw these guys on tour with Sick of it All good live band so checked there cd out. What do i think its a good album although some of the songs are abit samey. But all in all its a good brutal record but the artwork it so cheesy.

YEAH! great heavy and clear drums! just the way i like it! very HEAVY music.. the only thing NOT good are the keyboards.. they're pretty annoying.. i'm glad they're on the background.. they would have really messed up the sound if they were any louder..the just don't seem to fit... maybe it's the keyboards..maybe the tones the keyboard produces...anyway.. it would have been better without them i think.. but.. it's a great album anyway.. so i'll just give it a good rating..

2/11/2004 by Matthew from Rickmansworth, United Kingdom Rating:
This CD rules!!! right from the off you can feel the agression and heavy sound of this band

This CD aint as good as previous titles by the band but still is good and a must buy if you are into bleeding through. It can also help you through a tough day whack this on and see the effect it has on you.

In addtion too, this band are an amazing live band full of passion and love for what they do.

1/22/2004 by Andie from Sonora, CA Rating:
Honestly, I think this cd is horrible. All the songs on this album sound the same as songs done by previous [and much better] bands. If you must buy one of Bleeding Through's albums, I'd definitely recommend Portrait of the Goddess instead of this one. It was a total waste of money.

JUST A REALLY AWESOME ALBUM ALL AROUND VOCALS RIP RIGHT INTO YOU AND THE POWERFUL GUITARS WILL LEAVE YOU SHAKING AFTER BUT IT'S JUST TOO GOOD TO PASS UP BUY IT!!!

1/13/2004 by Stuart from Dunstable, United Kingdom Rating:
Like when I purchased the latest Alkaline Trio, I bought this CD without listening to a single track because I love Avenged Sevenfold's album and was informed that they sound very similar but a bit more metal. However when I stuck this in my CD player I was left disappointed by the inherent lack of quality guitar playing and droning screams of the vocalist, who never seems to sing. I don't mind a band with a screaming singer, but for me it just doesn't work on this album with these songs. Again like my review of Alkaline Trio's Good Mourning, not awful, but I will never listen to it again. Do not buy.

1/2/2004 by Justin from Punxsutawney, PA Rating:
SHIT !!! is exactly what I did when I heard this... blazing guitars, grand funk drums and a lot of keyboard that gives it that dark sound that we all love... This cd is something that needs to be recognized as one of the greatest releases of 2003... You want it ... You want it... buy it
