This album is very good. It's older, slower hardcore that's alittle softer than the other bands of the day. I'd say musicaly they're close to Minor Threat if ya need a reference point. Some good songs are "Retrospect," "Burn No Bridges," "Fill a Void," "Head," and their cover of "I am the Walrus" is good too.

11/15/2006 by Steve from Hamilton, ON Canada Rating:
This album is sick as fuck. If you're into old school garage punk that kicks ass every track, pick this up or your just a limey bastard. I cant believe it took me this long to finally get it, im gonna go slit my throat.

8/10/2006 by Trevor from Tucson, AZ Rating:
This is really good music, but I don't consider it punk whatsoever. not fast at all. it sounds like rock n roll. its very slow but still very good

7/11/2005 by Robert from Stafford, NY Rating:
Fuck ya I love this band, Heard them on the Flip video and I creamed my pants. Yea I say buy this Bad Brains, and Black-Flag.

4/28/2004 by Matt from Huntingtown, MD Rating:
Kind of boring DC punk. Some good songs but I recommend checking out DC's better acts: Minor Threat, Dag Nasty, Rites Of Spring, Fugazi, Embrace, Bad Brains, etc.

BUY THIS ALBUM. This is easily one of the best punk albums ever. This is a rare find, so buy it while you can. Every song on this album is great. Too bad the band didnt stick around.

11/6/2003 by Roger from Charlotte Hall, MD Rating:
Hell yea. DC Punk never lets me down. The lyrics can pretty much describe anyone you know, and the music is ahead of it's time and very mature sounding on most songs. This is not a "if you have extra cash, then get this" type cd, this is a "top of the fuckin list" type cd. Also, this is a good mix of "emo"(not the whinny type) and hardcore.

7/25/2003 by Jacopo from Roma, Italy Rating:
Together with Scream and Government Issue, Gray Matter were one of those incredible harDCore bands who never got the following they truly deserved. Melodic hardcore full of hooks but still very intense and emotional. This CD collects Gray Matter's first two releases, dated 1985-86. Definitely a classic.
