| This is my favorite Angelic Upstarts album. Poetry sang honestly with bass thumping music. Get their first four albums or so. I would start with this one first though. |

| The passion and emotion of this album is perfect for the time it was released(1980).It sums up what is was like in northern England back then.If you want good quality Upstarts stick to the early stuff (78-82).

| Wow I bought this on Interpunk close to a year ago, felt I needed to do some reviews and nobody else said a thing about this? BOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!
Since it is from a long long time ago (maybe late 70's and not early 80's) I'm hardly the coolest guy to say I'm the first to review.
Anyway this is one of the greatest bands to ever walk the earth. Music would be stuck in the fuckin bubble gum disco 70's if not for these guys. In my opinion they started the real political and pissed off part of punk that makes it a relevant movement to this day. Sex Pistols were good, but they didn't have enough time to grow and develop what punk would become in one album that gets repackeged 100 different ways. The Upstarts were raw street, become more political in this one, move towards blue collar folk in the next, and continue to blend all music to this day as a fantastic punk band. Get this you stupid bastard |
