| Fifth Hour Hero - Scattered Sentences |
Fifth Hour Hero are back with ten new songs! In the year since their split album with friends GUNMOLL, FHH have completed several North American tours, including traversing the USA in May with AGAINST ME! Tons of kids were at
these shows and the FHH word is spreading like wildfire! Geneveive and Olivier are still sharing the vocal duties, interspersing the songs with a sense of unrest and longing, leaning toward the political at points. Among the referential references, please reference: Hot Water Music, Rainer Maria, Discount, and Van Halen. Okay, that last one is made up.

| I bought FHH's EP "You Have Hurt My Business And My Reputation Too" and I couldn't stop listening to it. It's perfect. So I bought this CD expecting the same and I was wrong. Released in the same year as the EP, but sounds different.
This CD reminds me of early Hot Water Music except with less riffs and has a female (who has a great voice) sharing vocals with a male. Not a bad CD, but it just doesn't stick to me like the EP did. Simply put, it didn't have the same energy as "You Have Hurt My Business And My Reputation Too." I'd still recommend this, but definitly check out the EP. |

| Excellent release from this Canadian band. With the two guitar sound reminiscient of Hot Water Music as well as the catchy-ness of Discount or Dillinger 4 and other bands like them. But instead of gruff vocals we get a nice female vocalist as well as a guy singing. The songs are catchy without being annoyingly so. The lyrics address political topics as well as felling trapped by your surroundings without being dumb or obvious. Standouts include: Cut Me Dead, With Such Rights, and Goodbye All Regrets. Recommended for anyone who likes catchy punk or is looking for something different. |

| I was expecting something a bit different out of this CD after hearing a few songs by them... Certainly not a bad albumn. "Shape of Pistols" and "With Such Rights" were two of the better tracks in my opinion, this CD is definetly not for everyone, I recomend listening to a few tracks before you buy it. |

| Another Excellent release from what is fast becoming one of the finest and exciting new bands of the underground. More dual female/male vocals with excellent mature and aware lyrics. If you want to check them out, try thier Split with GUNMOLL (another amazing band) on No Idea also. Cannot wait for the upcoming EP |
