New Jersey’s Armor For Sleep has made a lot of noise for a band in existence for such a short time. After only playing a handful of shows they had several labels inquiring as to their future plans. After deliberations the band has decided to release their debut through Equal Vision records and "Dream To Make Believe" is a debut that will be long remembered. After forming in mid 2001 AFS became a self promotion machine in their home state of New Jersey, distributing flyers, sticker and demos at every show they could get into or stand out in front of, it was this and their debut performances that got the buzz growing. Their mp3.com page has charted in the top 10 of their genre several times and with many more shows under their belts including tours with Midtown, Taking Back Sunday, and Reunion Show the emo-indie rock underground is eagerly awaiting the bands first release.

Great Album!! It is possibly better than What to Do When You Are Dead, but that album has some very good songs on it too like Car Underwater. In Dream to Make Believe, the singer's voice seems a little different but very good. The songs are well written and performed. One thing i don't like is the first song is just an intro, and its not really that good of one, otherwise all the songs are unskippable, pick it up! I can't wait till their concert tour with TBS coming up.

3/27/2006 by Olivia from Mechanicsville, VA Rating:
Okay CD. If you like Armor for Sleep though, their newer album really is better. You might be slightly disappointed with this one.

2/8/2006 by Charlie from Crown Point, IN Rating:
this cd is a lot better than what to do when your dead. this cd is a must have for any afs fan. i highly recommend getting this.

8/25/2005 by Campbell from Apo, AE Rating:
What can be said? Armor... Far better than their second CD I think, which was probably pretty lame by most standards. Still this CD is worth a good listen every now and then.

8/7/2005 by Jeff from North Bay, ON Canada Rating:
this album is pretty good, but not the way people are raving about it ... their second album is far better! the lyrics set a dreary mood throughout, darker than most emo fare. i heard that ben was a recluse while writing, and it comes out in the songs. the standout tracks are 3-5-6. i'd recommend this, but pick up "what to do when you are dead" first.

7/24/2005 by Nick from Hayward, WI Rating:
This album is a big slow of pace for me, but that's what I was looking for. its a very relaxing and insightful album. Something deffinitely meant to be listened to with headphones on lonely nights in your room.

2/10/2005 by Chris from Bowling Green, OH Rating:
I used to think this album was a 5. I don't think so anymore because I have heard some songs from What To Do When You Are Dead. If that one is as good as it seems so far, then this one could be dropped to a 3 by comparison. People who hate whiny emo will hate this. Fans will love it. I like the dream theme though. Definitely buy this if you like emo.

7/19/2004 by Jack from Marcellus, NY Rating:
Way too emo for me, really really over produced and hard to listen to because of thw wineing. Gave it a 2 because "Dreams to Make Belive" and "All Warm" make me think of someone special to me. There not bad songs

5/26/2004 by Cody from Holland, MI Rating:
Nobody has any idea how great this cd is. I reccomend that you dont buy it cause its too good for you. Its too good for me! All you Emo kids out there like me should make this a must in your collection. This is one of my favorite bands, aside from sunny day real estate, taking back sunday, mineral, and bright eyes of course.

2/17/2004 by Ashley from Pensacola, FL Rating:
This CD is pretty good. It has good lyrics and good melody and is listenable, but it is not origianl at all and it gets very monotonous. If you like emo-ish rock sounding stuff, you will probably like this.
