The vocals and songwriting really shine on the album, the production is suitable for the music, the only thing that lacks is the artwork. Pefect Teeth quickly became my favorite track, it's an excellent shower singer!

i'm a fan of the whole 'synth punk' sound, and this a great album for that. this is a solid release overall, but there are a few songs that are weaker additions to the album. the lyrics are quirky and introspective, supported by heavy moog loops and catchy choruses. if you like hellogoodbye or reggie, i'd highly recommend this cd!

i usually listen to faster punk, but this cd is pretty good. Most of the songs are really catchy, and a few others are good after you give it a few listens.

Well, what more needs to be said other than, Motion City Soundtrack is a unique blend of indie rock and pop only to form a catchy sound bound to own your soul. The lyrics are smooth and singalong fairly well, Justin Pierre (the lead guitarist and vocals) has a good range but pumps everything out great and is a sexy dancing machine whose hair is to die for, and if you ever get the chance to see them live Jesse Johnson (mooger) can do a handstand on his moog which is so ridiculous. Love 'um, do buy.

I really really wanted to love this album because mcs have tried at least to be different to anything else out there at present. I originally heard THE FUTURE FREAKS ME OUT and loved it, so i brought the album on the strength of that song. Unfortunatley that is by far the best track, even tho there are some ok tracks i find that they use the key board far to much when it really is not needed at all. Check this out but at best it is an ok album.

A fairly impressive album with some great hooks and melodies, thought not as impressive as i had hoped...still, could be one to watch when the next album comes out...

I wasn't too impressed initially...then I kept listening and the songs just kinda stick in your head...5 and 9 are the best...They are pretty original indie/rock. And I am glad I bought the album...There is some pop in here, but it isn't too poppy. I would say they sound like a new version of WEEZER...in a way...
