| Frenzal Rhomb may never hit it big in the U.S. but they do their best on this release. A splendidly playful and foul-mouthed tribute to the legendary punk rock humorists NOFX and the Vandals, "Sans Souci" makes every hook count, trying to avoid alienating us with tracks about their native Australia. The accents are strong but the lyrics are clear, and the subject matter ranges from cop-bashing to the delicacy of the Rocky Mountain Oyster. Straight edge kids will have to sit through some hefty proselytizing on beer and LSD, but there are still plenty of slamming guitars for everyone to mosh to. "Sans Souci" shows that Frenzal Rhomb have been practicing hard lately, in hopes that somebody will finally buy their records. Get it if for no other reason than to rage against the misbegotten fortunes of the tyrannical Russell Crowe. |

| a lot better than "shut your mouth" just a tad bit worse than anything previous..if you are really into frenzal you wouldnt even be reading this review...if you just getting into them, this is prolly a good place to start. one of the best bands ever. there i said it. |

| HAHAHAHAH I be the first to review even though i got this a while ago. Frenzal Rhomb rocks! it's good to hear some silly ass punk so i don't have to think of how shitty our governmental situation is. i wanna be an australian too seems like they're having fun. bucket bong, russel crow, cocksucker, and hippie song stand out but the whole album is great. no songs to skip.....they need to visit the states sometime this decade! DOWN WITH BUSH AND THE REPUBLICAN SPECIAL POLICE |
