| Hot Cross/Light The Fuse And Run - Split |
HOT CROSS lashes out with two new songs that rock like the proverbial hurricane. This material is more expansive and refined than what A New Set of Lungs delivered, but no less biting. LIGHT THE FUSE busts out with some truly ferocious shit that grabs you by the shorthairs and doesn't let up. Their side of heartfelt punk rock contains what is undoubtedly the label's favorite track by them. This record is a pre ursor to both bands' full-lengths which will be coming out over the course of 2003. Hells yeah.

| Hot Cross owns. The Eye is a Tricky Machine is amazing. Worth the purchase by itself for shizzle. The videos are cool but the audio quality sucks my anus. This was my first time hearing LTFAR and I wasn't too impressed, but I'll be receiving another split of theirs with Transistor Transistor so I'll have more info then. I suck. Thanks! |

| Hot Cross is amazing! Light The Fuse and Run is okay. Hot Cross' singer (whose name slips my memory at the moment) has a distinct and very catchy voice which really drives the lyrics. It takes a couple of listens to get all the words, but it's worth it. The content is superb, and as far as lyrics are concerned I'm usually a pretty tough critic. "We live in a world waiting to be written." Light The Fuse and Run is more on the Punk side of Hardcore, with very old school stylings. It brought me back to the days when I used to jam to that stuff, but as I got older I grew out of it. It's great for angst ridden teens, but it doesn't really cut it with me. They lyrics aren't anything special, but they don't suck either. A solid representation of the band, except that their second song was an instrumental, which is kind of upsetting - since I would have rather heard some more singing/lyrical material. The instrumental was excellent though, if a little repetitive. Overall, this split was well worth the money but you might want to consider picking up Cryonics (Hot Cross CD) too, because trust me, this split will leave you wanting more. |

| these are the best ltfar songs. the hot cross songs blow them away though. it's unfortunate that ltfar are always doing splits with bands that are better than them. this is a solid 12 min. of music though. a good intro for both bands.
buy this if you are into saetia, forstella ford, or off minor. it's a quick little fix for the collection. |
