Dan Schafer (Screeching Weasel, Riverdales, Mopes, Sludgeworth) and the
boys are back with their totally amazing second album. With its aggresive
riffs, excellent songwriting & great production (by Mass Giorgini at Sonic
Iguana) this record is one explosive yet very catchy piece of punkrock you don't want to miss! 'Career Objective' of The Methadones is one of these records that are just brilliant in every way, so do yourself a favor, and check it out!

Ok, the only reason this gets 4 stars instead of 5 is because I bought this after I'd already listened to 'Not Economically Viable', which I think is the best album of '05. If you're new to The Methadones, I'd suggest picking up 'Viable' first, but if you've already got it, this is almost as solid. 'Say Goodbye...' is as good as any track they've ever done, and you're going to like this album more than probably 90% of the stuff released this year.

I really like The Methadones. I don't think anything with Dan Schafer could be bad. I mean c'mon, the songs he wrote or cowrote in Screeching Weasel were the best. Anyway, don't expect too much Weasel here. This is pop punk at it's best. "Far Away" is better than any wussy emo band could ever do. It's catchy as all hell. And there are lots of bluesy melodies on this. Thanks Danny for not stopping.

I love this cd. Definately my favourite purchase of last year and I can't believe I waited so long to review it. I'm About to Crack, Ammunition and Revitalized are all awesome as is the rest of the record! Vapid is the man. Can't wait to hear their new offering!

This is yet another Methadones album full of great Ramones influenced punk rock songs. However, just like with Ill At Ease, some of the songs on this CD might tend to blend together & sound the same. But overall I’d say that there are a plenty of well written songs on here with great lyrics and catchy hooks that you won’t care. TV World, Say Goodbye To Your Generation, Far Away, I’m About To Crack, and You Don’t Know Me Anymore are all excellent songs on here. So go and buy this, especially if you are a fan of any of the other bands that Dan Vapid is a member of.

Wow, the methadones... are amazing, it's like having sex with music or something. The beats are simple, so is all of the song writing, and the lyrics are good stuff, all around good album, everyone can connect with it, hard to find someone who doesn't like Dan Schafer, or the Methadones, can't go wrong with buying this album.

Not bad.. but some songs on here are just flat out boring. Good guitar solos. The lyrics are not that good. But the lyrics to "Say Goodbye To Your Generation" are pretty good and the whole song is cool. The other songs are ok, or they suck and are boring. I don't know.. get it if you want.. Whatever rocks your homeland.

Can Dan Schafer sing on a bad cd?? impossible. if you're looking for sludgeworth or the mopes, this isn't it. but that's the point. those bands are what they were and this is it's own entity. enjoy!!

Fuck yeah!!! And I am going to say the same for Ill At Ease. The vocals, the guitar, the drums. ALL OF IT HAULS!! This just plain rocks. I can't get tired of this stuff. If you like Screeching Weasel, you'll love it. Fuck it, if you like punk rock . . . buy it. Buy both.

What a disappointment. After their debut i thought they were going to be the toughest band in the land. i couldn't wait for this release to come out and i couldn't believe their second release could be so much worse. The feel Ill at Ease had is completely gone and there are only about three tracks worth listening to.I must admit i didn't think their debut was all that special the first time i heard it but the more i listened to it the better it got until i decided it was a work of genius, the more i listen to this the worse it gets. Only buy if you loved their debut and have to hear the new one but beware it sucks
