| Elliott - Song In The Air |
Song in the Air is ELLIOTT's third full length album. Song in the Air, for all of its beauty, and energy, and human spirit, is not ELLIOTT's moment of finding "the answer." What we have is a record that shows us the value of the moment of asking the question...of looking at a thing and figuring on it. ELLIOTT's new songs glow, spiral around, get messed up, come back home, get really sad,
get worked up, fight against melancholy, are pissed off... are - "alive." Song in the Air is the first record that ELLIOTT has made with the addition
of Benny Clark on guitar and Jason Skaggs on Bass.

| I bought this cd for a friend in Ohio, but I already own a copy...
Elliott is an amazing band, and this is, in my opinion, their best cd yet. They go beyond that cliche "emo" stereotype and deliver heart throbbing melodies with the use of instruments beyond just guitars and drums (violins, pianos, other string and wind instruments are encorporated). This is a must have cd for any fan of good, heartfelt music with extreme melodies. |

| 'Song In The Air' is hands-down one of the most beautiful albums I own. It is superb. I had heard some Elliott before purchasing SITA, and I expected to hear an album full of dreamy atmospherics, emotive lyrics and gentle, lilting vocals, which was exactly what I got. This album is the epitome of what "emo" really should be defined as, in the vein of bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, Texas Is The Reason and the incomparable Elliott Smith (R.I.P.). It has no pretention, no false identity, no vanity, and no corporate sheen. It is pure feeling, emotion, and a staggering work of beauty. I am honored to own it. |
