Phoenix, Arizona band, THE LIMIT CLUB will release their first vinyl record, the “Wild Four EP”, on August 30th. The new 7-inch EP follows up 2011’s “This Is Cutthroat Business” and will be released through their independent label, Phantom Cat Records. The RED VINYL album includes four brand new tracks recorded at Tempe, AZ based FC STUDIOS and a complimentary digital download with each copy.
An anomalous presence on the Arizona music scene for nearly ten years, The Limit Club has rejected rock-genre stereotypes in favor of a more innovative approach. Limit Club drummer, JUAN CARLOS explains, “[the EP] does have a Limit Club sound. After all, that's who we are. But this is unlike anything you've heard before.” When explaining the songwriting process, singer / guitarist NICK FERATU continues, “"It is fun. We're making the music we like. We come up with some kooky ideas and then get together and mash them around.” Recently added to the fold, saxophonist / guitarist MONTY O’BLIVION quips in mock-British accent, "It's all rock 'n' roll, mate."
Each new track reflects the Limit Club’s innate desire to entertain and provoke, with completely different sounds for each song. “When You Burn (You’re Gonna Scream)”, the recently released video-single opens the album and showcases a Latin influence. “Like Wild Birds” swings with a driving bass line and four-part vocal harmonies. Side B begins with the anthem “Who Are Your Gods?” which plows into the punk/rockabilly tune “Laugh Track”.
