| Exploding Hearts - Guitar Romantic |
Hailing from Portland, OR., the EXPLODING HEARTS are known far and wide for their white denim pop style and energetic live shows! With the songwriting charm and guitars of early brit pop/invasion bands like the UNDERTONES and the JAM, the romance of pop legends like NICK LOWE, the energy and attitude of great power pop/punk acts like the BUZZCOCKS and the BOYS, and the beat and soul of early Motown/Stax groups, they create their very own unique sound which is 100% POP. NO Pac Man or Atari gimmicks here, just footstomping beats, great songs, and loud Rickenbacker guitars! So if you like the BRIEFS and go crazy for traditional 70's power-pop, you will certainly fall on your knees and praise the birth of a new teenbeat sensation, the mighty EXPLODING HEARTS. Vinyl available courtesy of Germany's Screaming Apple Records.

| This album is incredible, catchy and intelligent! I can't beleive 3/4 members died in van crash accident. They left us with only one album in they're short career, but this album is a damned good one. 10 amazing punk pop songs in the vein of the BRIEFS, BUZZCOCKS, THE BOYS, BARRACUDAS,UNDERTONES, REZILLOS with a dash of power pop with the likes of PAUL'S COLLIN BEAT, NICK LOWE, PLIMSOULS, ROMANTICS, etc....They can be proud of the legs they left us. |

| This band reminds me a lot of the Clash with Mick Jones singing. But they aren't some run-of-the-mill Clash knock off and their songs are great. Check this band out if you like a classic sound with good songwriting. |

| I'm really into bands like The Buzzcocks, Boys, Briefs, Rezillos, etc. So after doing some reading I have learned that this was a really awesome band. When this CD arrived I listened to it for days. I really think it's great. If you love the bands I mentioned before, I think you will really enjoy this. Great stuff for your ears! |

| You know the sad story of these guys. After listening to this album you'll realize they were cut down too early. This isn't just a rehash of 77 punk. It has that but they add 70's power pop and enough old school rock n roll to give this their own feel. Its catchy as hell and the music is tight. Think of the best songs by the Buzzcocks,Saints, Undertones, Cheap Trick, and The Who put in a blender and mixed with the right amount of modern piss and vinegar. That is what you get here. |

| This is the in the top five greatest albums i've ever heard. If you dont purchase this cd than you'll rot and burn in the fiery depths of hell for eternity for it would be an eternal sin. This band is unlike any other, so therefore i couldnt possibly describe what they sound like. Anyone who rates this less than 5 stars is a liar. |

| Wow...I'm going to reiterate what has been said--I really wish I would have came accross this band before the tragic accident. The songs are so catchy that they can stick in your head for days on end.
Truly a shame they had to die so young--this band had potential and this album is pure gold. |

| This albums rocks really well. It's really catchy with great lyrics; an all-around good time. I just wish I didn't have to come across this band because of its members' deaths. |

| It sucks when you lose someone (or in this case, a band) that has a positive outlook and is a major talent.
Read the description and the other reviews. They without a doubt hit the mark. If it appeals to you even remotely, get this cd.
R.I.P. boys. |
