After a LOOOOONNG wait, here's the new one from everyone's favorite band, THE BRIEFS! THE BRIEFS put Dirtnap Records on the map back in Oct 2000, when their debut album, Hit After Hit, wound up selling over 10,000 copies almost entirely on positive word of mouth alone. They've made the cover of Hit List, and have been featured in full-page articles in Alternative Press, Kerrang!, and featured in weeklies from coast to coast! They've been on tour in the US and Europe almost the whole time since Hit After Hit's release, with the likes of THE DAMNED, TSOL, THE REZILLOS, THE QUEERS, and DIE TOTEN HAUSEN, stopping only long enough to sign a huge deal with Interscope! And while we're waiting for the major label debut to come out and make them the Next Big Thing, they were kind enough to give Dirtnap another record....In case you've been living under a rock for the last couple years, think late 70's LA punk with 90's punk energy, with the bounciest, most electrifying live show ever! They'll be on tour forever once this thing comes out, and the Interscope hype machine will be kicking in soon after its release, as their major label debut in coming within a couple of months!

ever since i got into this band i can't get enough of them. their sound is still so fresh and to me never gets old. they quickly became one of my new favorite bands. this album grew on me, and i like it a lot. maybe not as much as hit after hit, but it's very close. i like that the lyrics are a tad more serious, sometimes you need that. either way this a great briefs album, although i would get all their stuff. they are sure not to disappoint.

Love the Briefs....77 style punk rock that will made your ear's safety pin bleed! Good just like any thing they puts out! Featuring cover of THE ADVERTS «gary gilmores eyes»...Pogo you fuckers!

3/27/2007 by Paul from St. Louis, MO Rating:
Great catchy 77 style punk.I love this band so anything by them is always pleasant to these ears. Probably not as good as Sex Objects and Hit After Hit, but still very good. Good enough that I bought this again after losing the CD a couple of years ago. Stand out tracks are We Americans, 22nd Century man, Like A Heart Attack, and Gary Glitter's Eyes. You can't go wrong with The Briefs if you like catchy punk rock.

5/20/2006 by Hannah from Arlington, TX Rating:
The Briefs are awesome. I can't wait to see them. If you are a briefs fan, then buy this. It's not bad, But I think their other CDs are all better than this one.

1/27/2006 by Jerry from Palatine, IL Rating:
The Briefs are a really great band. They're fast, fun, and never seem to take themselves too seriously. This has some great songs like (Looking Through) Gary Glitter's Eyes, Ain't It the Truth, We Americans, and 22nd Century Man. The other songs are pretty good too. It's not a perfect album though; I feel that Hit After Hit and Sex Objects are far superior releases. Oh well, it’s still a good album. Enjoy!

HOLY CHEESEBURGERS!!!!! this is probably my favorite cd from the briefs... AIN'T IT THE TRUTH!!! anyways... kinda sounds like the buzzcocks a tad... which means its fucking sick!!! get it now...

12/27/2004 by Alex from Gilbert, AZ Rating:
This is an awesome CD. If you liked the Briefs CD 'Hit after Hit' then you will most likely like this CD. The songs weren't quite as fast as the ones from hit after hit but they were definitely just as good. If you are a fan of the briefs then you really need this CD. I give it 5 *STARS*.

7/15/2004 by Kevin from Houston, TX Rating:
It's a band like this that makes me believe 'punk rock' is coming back strong in 2004! I'm so sick of all these whiny-emo-screamo-eye liner wearing suburbanites. Here is the real deal. The Briefs put on such an awesome live show, it made me search for their whole catalog of music. This is a great record. You should get it right away. I heard rumor that this record and "Hit After Hit" will be re-released on BYO Records (The Briefs new lable) on August 10. Maybe those releases will have more features? Anyways, if you can't wait for those, get this now! Punk Rock is back!

7/2/2004 by David from Santa Teresa, NM Rating:
this is a good release. its snotty, middlefingered, sarcastic punk rock with a nerd twist thrown in there. they have a new disc coming out soon that should be just as good if not better. and their live show is one not to be missed, its a load of fun. you should really check these guys out, they are gonna get pretty big eventually

2/25/2004 by Dash from Jackson, MS Rating:
I was disappointed. Hit After Hit was a terrific album so I was excited when FedEx came to my door with this. But it's just boring. Catchy at some points, boring most of the time. A couple of politicized lyrics that I might necessarily agree with if they didn't sound so silly coming from a sugary band like this.
