MEMPHIS MAY FIRE have consistently pushed the envelope to rede?ne both themselves and the various
sub-genres they’ve made their mark within and they do just that with their brand new full length “Challenger”.
2010’s “The Hollow” full-length yielded no exception as the band ventured into the territory of Post-Hardcore /
Southern Rock with no reservations, but also brought in some incredible electronic production. Their fresh
approach to an otherwise stale scene gathered critical acclaim. That combined with an incredible work ethic and
awesome tour schedule found the guys receiving an offer on the entire 2012 Vans Warped Tour. The band has
spent the last couple years touring with Sleeping With Sirens, Asking Alexandria, Alesana and many more. With
the opportunity to take their explosive live show in front of what will be their largest audience yet, the band went
into the studio with production genius Cameron Mizell at Chango Studios. With their latest effort they took the
foundation laid by “The Hollow” and built a record of towering proportions. It hits as hard as the kids expect a
Memphis May Fire record to hit, blasting cutting riffs through the speakers, while singer Matty Mullins delivers
his most infectious hooks to date on the soaring choruses.
It’s safe to say that with “Challenger”, the band has clearly challenged anyone who thought they wouldn’t be able
to meet and exceed the expectations set by their previous records.
