Rude City Riot - Nothin' But Time
Rude City Riot are a hard-hitting seven piece pop-punk-ska band from Vancouver that is set take it’s place alongside Canada's top talents with the debut release of “Nothin But Time” on Stomp Records this spring.
Few bands of any genre suddenly show up with a first CD with such impressively well-crafted and undeniably addictive songs. Though the members of Rude City Riot have different musical backgrounds and styles, they all have a strong reverence for the roots of ska tradition and share the influences of rock, punk, reggae and soul music. RCR effortlessly and seamlessly combine these elements into a dynamic sound that is as powerful as it is uplifting.
The term “infectious” comes to mind when Rude City Riot's melodic hooks and edgy vocal lines are ringing in your head the morning after the concert or moments after listening to the record. Hooky and memorable songs played by very impressive musicians who obviously love to perform them live on stage. The band’s natural stage presence is magnetic and their energy shines through like a laser on this stellar recording. A great new band with their first full length recording, Rude City Riot are making friends and fans around the globe and they have only just begun - let the dancing begin.

If you are a fan of the band Victims of Circumstance, you'll love this band. The vocalists are similar and the music is fast and upbeat. There are a couple of songs that have a slower tempo, but that makes the album better in my opinion.

I love ska & I had high expectations for this album. There are some good songs on here like Victoria but theres nothing that really stands out. This album isnt bad & if you like ska give it a chance but dont expect to be able to jam this repeatedly.
