On DVD and CD is a live show from RKL in 2004 at The Pound SF and also a CD from RKL's last show ever (R.I.P. Jason!) from 2005. Limited edition of 1000 digipaks, with acid tab slipcase, get a dose before it's gone. RKL (Rich Kids on LSD) was a staple for Santa Barbra, Los Angeles, San Francisco, punk rock formed in 1982. They were associated with the "Nardcore" scene that evolved out of nearby Oxnard. Their music expanded over the years from West Coast hardcore to a mix of hardcore with rock elements. This style, along with touring, made them very popular on the European scene, especially among skaters in the eighties and nineties.

6/26/2012 by Grant from Lincoln, NB Canada Rating:
Being a long time fan of RKL, I was ridiculously excited about grabbing this. Of the two CDs, the 2004 show has much better sound quality than the 2005 one. In fact the only real selling feature of the 2005 disc is that it was the final RKL show with the late Jason Sears and despite the lacklustre sound, it does sound like it was a chaotic barn burner of a show. The DVD of the 2004 show is a blast to watch. Although Sears staggers around the stage like a man who's had one too many, his delivery is tight as is the rest of the band...but it's Li'l Joe's manic bass playing who steals the show. Is this an absolutely mandatory addition to your music collection? Maybe. Is it absolutely mandatory to your RKL collection? F**k Yes!
