| Lawrence Arms - Buttsweat And Tears |
Over the past 10 years, through a battery of booze-fueled
shows and enduring releases, THE LAWRENCE ARMS
have etched their name into annals of punk rock history.
The self-described “rambling boys of pleasure” have done
everything within their power to embody that description;
winning over the hearts of thousands of faithful and
adoring fans with their frantic version of ornate, often
poetic, Midwestern power pop. After a brief hiatus, the
band recently recorded some brand new material to both
commemorate their 10th anniversary and satiate the
growing hunger of their fans. The result was 5 songs that
perfectly epitomize TLA’s sound and once again flash the
band’s slightly askew sense of humor with the title
Buttsweat and Tears.

| I am giving it five stars for still staying true to the music that they play. Though I am upset that the Vinyl doesn't include the track "Demons" which the cd and the digital download both include. A great buy for any fan.
Another glass raised to more years to come. |

| Best Album of the Year. Best Album by the Lawrence Arms. Best Album of the Decade (excluding D4's Civil War). Yet it's only 4 songs! |

| Yes yes yes. I hope to god they just put out another cd. This 7" continues right where they left off, and shows serious promise. I just wish they wrote about 7 more songs and called it a new release. |

| It's the lawrence arms. What else can you say. One of the few bands that can stay the same, but it never gets old. |

| Although this is only an EP, this is the album of the year. The Lawrence Arms have done it yet again and blown away every expectation I could have possibly had.
This releases sounds like a mix of everything from "Apathy..." all the way through "Oh! Calcutta!". Perfect for their ten year anniversary.
Every song on here could possibly be your favorite.
So, I raise my glass to my favorite band and to another ten years of awesomeness. |
