| Frank Turner - Poetry Of The Deed |
Frank Turner is an English folk singer-songwriter, and former vocalist of legendary UK punk band Million Dead. Like an earlier folksinger with roots in the punk movement, Billy Bragg, Turner spits out songs that are at once effortless and heartfelt, filled with venom, self-doubt, and love for the everyday people he meets in the street.

| Good album, although not as good as Love, Ire, and Song. Poetry of The Deed has more of a band type feel instead of a solo artist, which I feel takes away some of the edge Frank provides on his own. Still definitely worth your money, although pick up Love, Ire, and Song or Sleep Is For The Week first.
Standout tracks: Try This at Home, Dan's Song, Poetry Of the Deed, and The Road |

| I would suggest getting "Love,Ire and Song" first and then move to this album. "Poetry of the Deed" is a little too polished for me and has some bells and whistles I could do without. I think this CD will grow on me with time, but it just hasn't connected with me like Frank's other work. |

| Something about folk music and punk just meshes and nobody does it like Frank Turner. Although I enjoy his first album better, this release is simple and catchy with great lyrics and lots of heart. Pick it up if you like folk, or bands like Against Me!, Gaslight Anthem, or Polar Bear Club |
