The band calls the style of their sixth full-length record "stroll" – a mix of hopscotch, double dutch, soul, ska, and reggae. They also feel its most like their first record "Shot By Lammi". Produced by Joe Gittleman (The Mighty Mighty Bosstones). Mixed by Paul Q Kolderie (Radiohead, Dinosaur Jr., Uncle Tupelo).

Probably the least best of the Big D collection. But as always with Big D, they tend to switch it up from album to album. Not progress, but change the sound a bit. I personall think Strictly Rude is by far the best and the newest one is a close second. Great summer music. Check it out.

Hmm...what to say about this album. First, it was not at all what I was expecting. It isn't necessarily a bad album, but I grew up viewing Big D as a ska band, and while some of the elements of ska exist on this album, they aren't really assembled in a traditional ska fashion. I listened to this after hearing Catch 22's Keasbey Nights and Planet Smashers' Mighty, to give you an idea of the mode I was in. That being said, this is not a bad album. To me, it kind of stands with its feet in both the two-tone ska of old on some songs and in some of the indie music you hear nowadays, with varying pace and a range of emotions conveyed. Point is this, don't get this if you are expecting your usual ska template, these guys are moving on to something else, and in this guys opinions, it's not a bad place. Take it for what it is. Oh, and anyone with an insecure girlfriend should be forced to listen to "Not F****** Around". Consider it an anthem.

8/12/2009 by Elizabeth from Olympia, WA Rating:
Fluent in Stroll is different from Big D & the Kids Tables other albums, but no less thought out and enjoyable. Singing on this album with the boys are The Doped Up Dollies, who make an excellent addition. Yes, this album isn't your typical 'punk' album, but that only proves that this group is willing to push beyond the boundaries of their past albums and able to create a new style of their own. If you're a fan of the band, buy this album. If you're looking for a great summer album, buy this album. It's creative, fun, and totally worth the money.

8/12/2009 by Bill from Wilmington, DE Rating:
if you are a 12 year old girl, you will like this cd. it sucks, i can't believe how bad it is, nothing like other Big D cd's i have. It sounds like Britney Spears took a dump in a trumpet and they recorded it. bad teeny dance music, not even ska anymore, another good band turned to crap.
