Fantastic 180 gram collectors colored vinyl re-issue of this band's influential debut. Hellhammer are regarded as a key influence on black metal, and frontman Thomas Gabriel Fischer stated they "would later be credited as being among the founders of death metal." Two ex-members went on to form the equally important Celtic Frost in 1984. This EP is Hellhammer's first and only official record. Boasting four tracks, this record has served as an influence to such varied and respected bands as Napalm Death and Sepultura, both which recorded cover versions of "Messiah". The reissued version comes with 2 bonus tracks.

| Great stuff! Old skool metal from Switzerland. Think along the lines of GBH with metal licks and darker lyrics. A couple of tracks a little slow, but tracks like Horus / Aggressor and Revelations of Doom more than make up for it! No wild over the top solo's, no operatic wails or cheesy hot pants. Just good 80's Metal!
