Lyrics in this album are sick! The sound is very cool and different from Alkaline trio previous albums. i really like this one.

11/11/2009 by Ryan from Diamond Bar, CA Rating:
wow suprisingly good. a more mature sound. from here to infirmary is still their best followed by crimson, yet this is good music too. #4 is a great song

5/21/2009 by Nick from St. Cloud, MN Rating:
If you're looking into this disc, youre either A) a first time fan simply looking into this album because you saw it plastered somewhere within the pages of the latest AP issue or B) are a fan and looking into buying their first (and it appears last) album on the major label epic records.

For those who dont know, the band has dropped off the label, declared they are making their own label, and subsequently will release an album (a more "punk" inspired album) this summer via that label.

This being said, this disc is much of the "new" trio. If you are looking for any of the beatiful chaos of goddamnit in this album, look elsewhere. Think Crimson. Think Crimson and turn away.

However if thats more your thang, then dive right in.

5/7/2009 by Anthony from Barstow, CA Rating:
I think I can sum this album in a single onomatopoeic noise: "Meh". "Bluh", would also have been acceptable. Better than Crimson (how could it not be?) but worse than... Well, everything else they've ever done.

11/22/2008 by Christine from Wantage, NJ Rating:
It's about time the trio came out with something new. While it is very different, it still has their famous sound tied into it. This album has some of the catchiest songs I have ever heard, and you'll find they constantly get stuck in your head. Overall it is a great album, but not their best. It is in fact almost too different to compare to older albums. But anyway, this is a definite buy for any true Alkaline Trio fan.

8/23/2008 by Isaac from Linwood, ON Canada Rating:
Well, I thought I better give it a few spins before I make a fair review. I think its safe to say the Trio has lost alot of fans with this cd but not me. Agony and Irony is a little more polished, and in some cases (Love, Love, Kiss, Kiss) very horribly written. But their are exceptions: this cd alone is worth getting for songs like 'Do you wanna know', 'lost and rendered', and of course 'into the night'. Yes, you could say they've gone mainstream but i'm not quite ready to give them up. If you liked 'Crimson' you'll probably like this cd as well. If your strictly into their older cds such as 'From Here to Infirmary' than maybe not. It takes awhile to like thats all

7/27/2008 by Kevin from Houston, TX Rating:
Yeah like I mentioned on the special edition version, this is terrible. The last album I liked from these guys was 'Good Mourning'. This ranks up there (in terms of awful) with the 'Crimson' album. The edge just isn't there anymore. Also I think it sucks how they packaged this in one of those thin paper sleeve covers to make it look more like a 'LP' sleeve. How lame!

7/3/2008 by Arryn from Tallahassee, FL Rating:
Oh man! This album is GREAT!! Better than Crimson, but not their best. These are some really cool songs that don't stray too far from the Alkaline Trio "sound". It was definitely what I was hoping for after three years.

7/2/2008 by Jared from Hornell, NY Rating:
This Was Great. I Heard from Fellow Trio fans that this was the album we were all fearing, but i have to say i loved it. Quite a change from their older stuff, but still good. The Cd i got (not deluxe) had "Do You Wanna Know" on it, ever though the tracklisting on here doesnt have it, only for Deluxe. Id give it about a 4.5 over all
