This was my first LTJ album, so I can't compare it to any other one.

Overall, it was ok, nothing I could ever get obsessed with, but something I can handle listening to now and again. The music itself is pretty good, a little too poppy at times, but decent. Vocals are good, lyrics are ok. The sound is rather polished.

But, it's a fun album.

I also agree that LTJ started out great, went to shit, and then with the last two albums, came back in a big way. It actually caught me off guard, but I was overjoyed. Keep it up, guys!

OK, so maybe I am in the minority here since everyone else seems to think that this is a great CD compared to the past couple LTJ CD's. I will say that I agree that it is slightly better than the last 2 releases but in NO WAY does it even come close to LTJ's early work. It is predictible, boring in places, and overall a CD that will spend most of its days collecting dust on my wall.

I've always liked Less Than Jake, I have all their albums, but I never really considered them one of my really favorite bands...

With this album, that has changed...

This is without a doubt the best album Less Than Jake has ever made!

Less Than Jake has a strong showing in this album...Going back to their roots, a lot more horns than their previous album and every song sounds fantastic, any Ska fan should pick this up

GNV FLA marks Less Than Jake's return to their roots, trading in the over produced major label sound for their trademarked horn laced ska punk. The record feels like a mix between Losing Streak and Borders and Boundaries, and although oddly enough it DOESN'T sound like Hello Rockview (the album in between Streak and Borders), longtime fans will really enjoy this effort after 2006's major label let down In With The Out Crowd. If you stopped paying attention to Less Than Jake after being disappointed by Anthem or IWTOC, then this is a good time to get back in the game.

I had bought this Cd on an impulse when I had found out that LTJ were going to be doing the "shout it loud" 2 tour. Which was a blast last year with RBF. I have liked LTJ for about 5 years and have seen their progression from classic ska/punk to more "scene" to sell to the masses but this Cd takes them back to borders and boundaries days but not as good as pezcore or losing streak. Pick it up if your trying to fill the collection of LTJ CD's but if new to the band go get pezcore or losing streak first.
