$9.25

Wednesday 13's most personal album to date. Although still infused with horror overtones, this album truly delves into Wednesday 13's personal life — past, present and future — as well as his almost life ending depression.

This is an amazing cd both musically and lyrically.

4/30/2008 by Grant from Irving, TX Rating:
All I paid for this CD was $10 and that was a steal. His heaviest outing to date that traded in campy horror movie humor for dark Alice Cooper-esque undertones. Maybe his most emotional album as well. It's not the A-typical formula for W13 but that doesn't matter. The heavier guitar riffs and chilling horror sound will not disappoint any true W13 fan. I immediately wanted to get up and break stuff after hearing "gimme gimme bloodshed" and I felt quite the chill up my spine after hearing the the title track "skeletons." This CD is cheap, heavy, and eerie so how could you go wrong?

This album is amazing! The only Disapointment is that the cd hasnt got a proper cd case or booklet. If your a true Wednesday 13 fan then you'll love this album. This is my favourite album of theirs. You have gotta buy it! The best songs are:-Gimmie Gimmie Bloodshed. From here to the hearse. put your deathmask on. skeletons. my demise. no rabbit in the hat. All American massacre. Dead Carolina. This albums the heaviest Wednesday 13 album. Its truly the best record hes done, well definately in my opinion.

Ok I have to look at this disc with both sympathy and criticism... First, my sympathy. Now this guy has been putting out AWESOME shit for years. There's no mistaking his guitar sound, the voice, the overtones... the feeling. Wednesday always has feeling. So here he is, putting out a disc without a label. He fronts all the money for the studio time, mastering, artwork, production, manufacturing, AND distro. I'm in an unsigned band, and I know the hardships that come along with self-promo and distro. And to have a guy who has put a horror image on all these years finally step back and say that this album is "personal"... that's just as hard. Now, my criticism. The sound quality was a little bad. Overloaded in some spots and very bass-laden. There was no compression on the bass guitar and it slammed on some parts and died out in an instant on others. The mix itself was very rough and over EQ'd. Very hard on the nerves in a decent stereo. Also I heard a lot of overloading crackles and pops throughout. The music itself is pretty damn good. The songs are growing on me quickly like every other of his albums has. But it's the sound quality that really takes away from it... other than that it's a great effort and a decent collection of songs... it's no "Transylvania 90210"... but you can be damn sure it can hold it's own.

4/28/2008 by Reid from Hickory, NC Rating:
SKELETONS is a great slab of Wednesday's usual horror/glam/punk/metal/whatever. The lyrics still have the horror element, but in this case the "horror" is more worldly and less otherworldly. The packaging is "skimpy" because the disc is self-released; I think the artwork fits the music within perfectly. Whether you've followed W13 from the Drag Queens days (like me) or are a recent convert, SKELETONS isn't gonna disappoint. The songs rock and the choruses stick in your fucking head, and, as an NC boy, "Dead Carolina" is my new damn anthem.

This cd was a huge diappointment! I'm a huge wednesday 13 fan, and when i bought this cd, i expected another great cd from the wonderful singer/ songwriter- wednesday 13. But it seems lately he's just been putting out crap. I mean, a good example of crap is his dvd- "weird oh a go-go" which i also gave a rating of "1". Then i got all this hate mail saying that i shouldn't call myself a wednesday 13 fan giving him a rating like that.. It sucked, and if you thought it was good, then your both deaf and blind. But enough of the dvd, onto the cd. these songs are terrible! Every song sounds like one repeated chorus over and over. There's no horror overtones, no catchy lyrics, in fact, this cd dosen't even come with a booklet or case! Lol, talk about skimpy. There's a reason wednesday 13 is self-releasing this album.. No company wanted to release this piece of crap! Seriously download any song and you'll know what i'm talking about. Ratings (1-10) (10 = highest): Creativity with lyrics: 2 cover design: 7.5 sound quality: 9.5 (re)playiblity: 3
