What makes a band truly remarkable? Insightful lyrics? Memorable melodies? Blow-your mind live performances? The truth is that it takes all of those things along with a boundless enthusiasm, an infectious energy and a supreme devotion to the fans. With this rare combination, a band may ascend past “good,” – and reach sublime. Drawing on the hardships and joys of their own lives and a musical history ranging from old world Celtic to modern day punk rock, the seven members of Flogging Molly do just that, and they do it with a charm and an ease that makes them one of the most revered bands performing today. Flogging Molly isn’t a mere band, they’re a seven member nuclear family. They are as devoted to one another as they are to the music they create. It’s no wonder their extended family – the legion of loyal Flogging Molly fans – keeps growing every day.

Vinyl comes in a gatefold format.

I don't dig it as much as I did their earlier releases, but it's still good. If you like Floggin', get this disc. If you haven't heard them yet, buy Swagger then Drunken Lullabies first.

OK OK.. I had been holding off on this review because I was hoping that this CD would grow on me... but alas, it hasnt. Sure it sounds like Flogging Molly, but this CD is Waaaayyy overproduced for my taste and it just doesnt sound like there was any passion at all put into the songs or making this record. This Cd does not compare to the previous Flogging Molly releases. Granted it still still better than ALOT of other bands out there, but nowhere near what I have come to expect from this band.

4/17/2008 by Jason from Harrison, OH Rating:
All I can say is... Wow. This CD is awesome from start to finish. If you are not a Flogging fan you will be after you buy this, If you already are a fan you will not be disappointed what so ever. A+++

4/2/2008 by Dan from Oswego, IL Rating:
another great album. not as hard as their last few, but for molly that's not such a bad thing. its a bit more mellow and that sounds great for them as well

3/22/2008 by Bonnie from Weymouth, MA Rating:
I was put off by a lot of negative reveiws before the release date. I think the biggest blow to this record is that there's no anthems like Wailing Wall, Black Friday Rule, or What's Left of the Flag. Regardless, it's a solid album from a great band and I'm sure the new songs sound amazing live.

3/16/2008 by Kevin from Houston, TX Rating:
The cover art grabs you right away. It's a weird concept with something called "FLOAT" and everyone looks somewhat bored on the cover...except Bridgette taking a swig of her Guinness. But I still love the cover. Another great collection of folky, Irish influenced punk songs. If you have any of their music you know what to expect here.

3/12/2008 by Matt from Medina, TN Rating:
I would give this 6 stars if I could. Excellent album all around. This one is as good, if not better, than Swagger. I was not impressed with Within a Mile From Home, but Float more than made up for it. Still, the recordings do not do justice for the live show. You should try and see them live if at all possible. If you like Flogging Molly, pick this up. You should also try anything by the Tossers. Slainte!!
