Silent Treatment

Vagrant 472

Released on September 25, 2007

This item is not available for purchase. Sorry!

Silent Treatment is the third studio album from Tucson, AZ’s The Bled. This time the band moved up to Baltimore, MD to work with producer extraordinaire Brian McTernan (Thrice, Circa Survive, From Autumn To Ashes). Having more time to write and record than albums past, the band really took advantage and have delivered one of the most fiery, brutal records of the year. The band’s previous effort, 2005’s Found in the Flood, saw the band expanding their sound and pushing the envelope. Silent Treatment is more of a retreat back to their earlier recordings, which featured stripped-down, raw energy and massive riffage. Despite that, the band also found ways to use some of their experimental edge to create some of the most unique songs found in heavy music today.

“The songs talk about some of the fear and pain you go through when you’re trying to change things for the better. The title reflects what we all have gone through as we’ve cut ties to situations in our lives that weren’t positive.” – Jeremy Ray Talley (Guitar)

“The pure, raw heaviness that we like to write and that we love to play onstage came out on this record.” -Mike Pedicone (drummer).

I'm not quite sure why I bought this cd in the first place. None of the songs really stuck out to me except songs two and three. Rather plain cd.

This is a great record by The Bled, the music sounds so good and tight as a whole as well as the lyrics their well thought out and seem to have something that you can dig up. i'm loving this album and i think it'll be a great listen for those who like The Bled or bands similar to them. This is one of the great releases of 2007!

I just got this in the mail today, and I love it! The pre-order vinyl is amazing, and the quality in general is great. The bled have returned to their roots while still moving forward as a band, and it's obvious. Great album.
