After 4 full lengths, one EP and a live record, Santa Barbara’s finest reggae, ska, punk, dixieland, rock, jazz, country, etc. band returns with their 5th full length record. Keep It Going lends itself heavily to reggae and takes the listener on a musical journey from lively Jamaican dancehalls to the underground DIY music venues of America. Features production work from Grammy award winning producer Wayne Jobson (No Doubt, Gregory Isaacs, Toots & the Maytals) and a guest appearance from reggae legend Duckie Simpson (Black Uhuru) on a cover of Delroy Wilson’s classic “Riding For a Fall”. awesome album. 'rock the plank' had it's ups and downs, and 'just one more' was a fairly solid effort, but 'keep it going' brings fans back to the days of 'quality softcore' and 'duck and cover' in a horn-drenched skankin' great way. buy this!

Another fine release from the Caddies. This one is much slower than their previously releases as it features more reggae-style influences. The song writing is still excellent (as is the musicianship.) But having more reggae does not mean that the punchy-dixieland-punk-rock is completely left behind. Most of the songs are similar to mini-rock operas, having alternating slow/fast/reggae/rock sections. "Coyote" is a wonderful track. Too bad it hasn't been released on vinyl.

Probably the best caddies album ever. Impressive release which covers several genres. So far the best album of the year!

God it's about time for another Mad Caddies cd. Aside from about 3 tracks the whole cd is mainly Dub, Reggae and Ska. It's no different than the reggae style songs they've ever done.....it's just a much more mellow "get really high and listen to" style. There isn't much more to say other than Mad Caddies are one of the best bands to exist and if you've ever liked their other material you'll like this.
