Now this is music. Just real and from the heart. Pure Intensity. Pure rock. From the acoustic intro that sets everything up perfectly. They can switch from insanity to serene and beautiful, but this is still a rock album. The vocals are dirty and disturbing, and work so well with pounding drums and guitars. I don't think i can do this cd justice with words. Nobody can. Just top quality. Also a great live show. Big hairy, sweaty guys playing all out rock. Amazing. Highest recommendations.

This CD really put Planes Mistaken for Stars on my list of great bands. I saw them live in fall 2003 and really liked there style and sound, but there earlier releases weren't doing them justice. But "Up In Then Guts" makes up for all of them. This CD really is worth the 15 bucks!!!

It seems to me that this band only gets better with every release and this definitly applies to planes' latest release. A much more focused album, they seem to take their brute sludgy force and combine it with their long forgotten melodical abilities that took place on their first few realses. This is a must for any fan of the band and anyone who can appreciate a rockin good time.

What's missing in punk music, Planes Mistaken For Stars has. But what they won't do is slip into any pigeonhole. Hard, fast, smooth, scathing, breath-taking and that is just within the first couple songs off Up In Them Guts. First you must experience Fuck With Fire, then Up In Them Guts proves that Planes are one of the best bands going right now.

ive been a fan of pmfs for quite some time now. and up in them guts has fully lived up to my expectations. sure its a little more produced but they still contain there singnature raw sound. this is in your face pure evil rock and roll. they are not for everyone but if you like bands like leatherface, small brown bike, old hot water music, and lock and key you should add planes mistaken for stars to ur roster. this is one of my favorite cds of the year and i would put up in them guts right up there with f.ck with fire!

What can I say? Another great CD from Planes Mistaken for Stars. It even came with a free poster and button since I preordered it. I only wish some of the songs were longer, but that doesn't detract from the score because its such a great CD.
