NICE new vocals coming from Underoath. A very good cd, cant say its better then Chasing Saftey or the previous releases but this did not dissapoint me at all. Great cd. buy now!

12/4/2006 by Josh from Oxon, United Kingdom Rating:
Having recently seen Underoath performing most of this album live on the Taste of Chaos tour I can safely say their live show matches the intensity and quality of this album.

I was a huge fan of 'They're Only Chasing Safety' Underoaths' previous album and 'Define The Great Line' offered a more mature approach. Stepping away from more punky and in some cases even poppy hooks in their previous album, this album is hugely 'heavier' as it were with Aaron taking a back seat on vocals and letting Spencer unleash hell with some low screams I wouldn't have thought possible within his range.

The production, again, was amazing and Adam from Killswitch has worked miracles. Even though i am very fond of their new sound the old hooks from the previous album were missed in places and in some parts it's so heavy it is hard to decypher each guitar from another and possibly the heaviness gets a bit much towards the end of the album. All bundled together with a very entertaining dvd.

Overall this album is one of the most epic I have ever heard and I would definately reccomend it, favourite songs would be 'Writing on the walls' and 'Returning empty handed.'

Can't wait for the next album!

11/9/2006 by Daniel from Sarasota, FL Rating:
I bought this album back when it came out and never stopped listening to it. They really did an amazing job with this. The DVD isn't that great if you ask me, you can get it from youtube. But of course this isn't nearly as great as their OLDEST cds dating back from the dawn of UnderOATH, but this is good things to come for UnderOATH.

all around amazing cd. a huge step forward for this band. the whole thing grabs ur sack and doesn't let go till the bitter end

9/19/2006 by Cody from Kitimat, BC Canada Rating:
Define the Great line is the best CDs these guys have ever put out its like having an eargasm just lissing to them.

9/5/2006 by Jean Philippe from Quebec, PQ Canada Rating:
This album will be talked about for years to come. Underoath decided to go back to their roots and it was a great choice for the true fans. The kind of album you can listen to without skipping one single song.

Good Tracks: In Regards To Myself, A Moment Suspended In Time, Ever So Inviting, Salmarnir (features the reading of Psalm 50 in Russian), Writing On The Walls, To Whom It May Concern

This is a great album, exept for the one foreign language track. And I was hoping with the extra it costed for the cd/dvd combo it would be longer than 22 minutes. Stil, it's mostly a great album.

And if you're planning on buying it, I suggest you save a few bucks & just get the cd by itself.

8/22/2006 by Tim from Milton, ON Canada Rating:
I bought this for the free t-shirt with the pre-order, I thought Underoath is a good band and the t-shirt design is pretty sweet. I was however surprised with the DVD portion and a chunk of the songs on the CD. The DVD is an entertaining viewing, makes me laugh, and Adam D. from Killswitch Engage is a part of it and freely admits to shitting his pants during the recording process. If you're a big fan of this band you'll definatley dig this CD/DVD, if your like me and you're kind of a fan, it won't make you like the band any more but it won't make you like the band any less either.

8/4/2006 by Travis from Mullica Hill, NJ Rating:
Compared tp They're Only Chasing Safety, this cd is amazing. It is a lot heavier, which is never a bad thing. Vocalist, Specner Chamberlain has improved his scream a lot since TOCS. Though, I feel they will never be as good as they were when they had Dallas Taylor, on Act of Depression, Cries of the Past, and The Changing of Times, I feel they have improved a lot. It is pretty pointless to but the cd/dvd, though. unless you're into the special packaging. The DVD is pretty dumb and pointless. You're better off buying the orginal for a dollar or two less.
