After six years of hard work and dedication, New School Records has made a remarkable presence in the punk music scene with their multi-genre roster of hard-working bands across the U.S. and Canada. Not only does their catalog consist of 25 releases to date, they have manned booths at major festivals such as Warped Tour, and had numerous artist showcase tours nationwide. So, due to the continued success of the label, New School has decided to release an artist sampler to please their current fans and wow a new group of listeners.
Punk Off! Volume 1 is the first installment of their new sampler series, a collection of songs by every artist that has been released on the label over the years. Before you label this CD as just another overrated compilation, take a moment to realize that it is the blood and sweat of New School Records. The compilation contains an album track by each of fourteen New School artists, plus additional unreleased bonus tracks by eight of them.
Priced at only a few dollars, how could you go wrong?

I think this is a real good CD. Like most comps, there are a bunch of bands from different punk genres. A few of my favorites were by 7-10 Split, Mourningstar, Spare Lead and Twenty2. Most songs are good and it is definitely worth the few dollars.

For a $1 plus S&H, I could have done a lot worse I guess. Your A-typical comp, nothing spectacular, nothing terrible, just average.

biggest mistake ive made from ever buying a cd. i only bought it because it was so cheap and theres a damn good reason its so cheap- it sucks big hairy donkey balls and every copy of it should be burned then pissed on. its nothing but shitty ass emo bands who have nothing better to do than get together, cry and make awful noise that makes me want to puke. do yourself a favor, and dont buy this.

WOW! This is unbelievable. Paying $1 for a record this good is unheard of! This comp has all kinds of different punk, screamo, emo, rock, pop, skate, fast... its all here. All on one comp. This is a MUST buy! New School Records keeps up thier "give to the customers" standard by including EIGHT unreleased tracks! I've never seen anything like that anywhere. My favorite tracks are 800 Octane (both), Mourningstar (7), My Hostage, Nuclear Saturday (both), Twenty2 (both), Spare Lead, and In Stereo (17). If you like all kinds of punk and want to hear a ton of great new bands without buying a ton of new cd's, this is definitey the way to go. How can you lose?

Well this cd was so cheap it was almost free and thats why I ordered it, regardless it needs review. There are 3 main bands on here that make the comp : 7-10 Split, Off the Record & Twenty 2. And anybody who has heard of these bands should definitly pick this up. I will assure you this will not go down in history as one of the greatest comps ever (ie. Fat wreck - Survival of Fattest, Nitro Rec - Go ahead Punk make my day or Punk o Rama Vol 1 & 2) but its definitly worth the money.

Geez, come on, for the price and the great bands who wouldn't get this comp.? New School always delivers the goods! Best bands on this have to be Off the Record, Mourningstar, Makeshift3, Twenty2, and Glasshead.

FUCK! Getting this was a complete mistake. I never thought I would ever feel buyers remorse from something that cost a buck, but I do. I'm sending it back, but not in one piece.

This CD is great. Actually better then I expected for a dollar. Not much more to say about it because the description says it all...... It's just a labels mixtape, but it does have a lot of good songs and the production is superior. And there is also a free sticker inside the jewel case. I suggest getting it.
