| None More Black - This Is Satire |
"It’s a struggle but we’re going”, the last lyric of the song “Dance on the Ruins” from NONE MORE BLACK’s second full length This Is Satire, pretty much defines the history and attitude of the group. In the five years since their inception the band has gone through a few member changes. While singer/guitarist Jason Shevchuk and bassist Paul Delaney have remained constant, the two have struggled to keep it together. With the addition of long time friends Colin McGinnis (Paint It Black) on guitar and drummer Jared Shavelson (The Hope Conspiracy), the struggle is over, and NONE MORE BLACK find themselves in peak form. Perseverance has paid off in the thirteen tracks that make up This Is Satire. Together NONE MORE BLACK and engineer/producer J. Robbins created a truly diverse album, picking up where the band’s previous material left off, but heading forward in the direction of straight up rock! In the three years since their last FAT full length, the band has released an EP on Sabot Productions, along with providing exclusive tracks for both Rock Against Bush Vol. I and Vagrant Records’ In Honor compilation.

| Great punk! This is how punk should sound in my opinion. My only complaint is the songs start to sound similar to each other and if this wasn't the case I would give it 5 stars. Still a really good CD and great punk. |

| A great melodic punk album. The artwork looks cool as well. A couple songs are so-so but most of them are pretty good. I'd recommend buying this. |

| Incredible album, but it's one that had to grow on me for some reason. I must admit, I am a sucker for two things: melodic punk, and good album art. I bought this because it had cool album art. I really enjoyed the first two songs but then I wasn't too interested. A few months later I tried it again, and booyah! It clicked, it quickly became one of my most listened to albums and I have gained a lot of respect for this album and this band. The songs are so catchy, with raspy lead vocals, creative guitars and weird song names. This album makes you want to dance. Fat signs some incredible bands, and these guys are one of them.
So, if you want some awesome music that will stick in your head for a long time, get it! The music is just as good as the album art work. |

| This album took a while to grow on me because it's a little bit of a departure from their previous stuff, but it's still got Jason's classic "I just sucked down a carton of smokes" gravely voice and all the melody that you'd expect from them. This album, however, doesn't have nearly the same modern punk influence that the last releases did. This album takes it cues from more classic punk pioneers like The Clash and The Replacements while still remaining wholy unique. None More Black may make their influences fairly obvious, but that doesn't mean they sound like anyone else out there. If you liked their other stuff get this one, listen to it once or twice, then put it away for a few months and pull it out again after you almost forgot what it sounds like. You'll be pleasantly surprised by how fucking good it is. |

| When i first heard this record, i was sceptical. It didn't really grab my attention at all and sounded pretty boring overall. I gave it another chance after a few months and i was totally blown away and completely hooked. "This Is Satire" has a great classic rock vibe ; every song is catchy as hell and has infectious riffs and choruses (yes, even "I See London" !). One of the finest punk rock records of 2006 so far, no doubt about that. |

| Oh Yes! This is None More Black at their best, I don't think there's a weak song on this record. Zing-Pong is possibly the best song ever, well it's the one I can't get out of my head at the minute anyway! Of all the awesome post-Lifetime/Kid Dynamite bands, these guys are the best by far. Buy it! |

| Extremely good album. Some of the songs are a bit slower than those on "File Under Black" or "Loud About Loathing" but Shevchuk's vocals more than make up for it. Great album to just rock out and dance to when there's nothing to do. Not Shevchuk's best (Kid Dynamite's self-titled album is) but it is None More Black's best to date. |
