Ohio's five-piece bring an original twist to their favorite formula. Tying in a pop sensibility with infectious melodies, style, and flow, they can back up their emotion-fueled rock with their passionate, heartfelt lyrics and high octane live show. | I'm reviewing two Hit The Lights CD's in one here, since for all intensive purposes, they ARE the same CD. If you desperately need more melodic "punk" in your life that sounds like Plain White T's, Panic! At the Disco, so forth, then get either "Skip School, Start Fights", or "This Is a Stick-up, Don't Make it a Murder", or both. Each album had a single song that made me actually want to press the repeat button. On "Skip School", it's the Cry Your Eyes Out song. On "This is a Stickup", it's the Broken Stereo song. |

| This is an awesome pop-punk cd! If these guys were around in the blink 182, sum 41 days, they would have owned the stereos! After one listen your already singing along to most of the cd! It's infectious sing your heart out melodies. I like this song because there are alot of songs about break-ups and girls and they don't hold back about how they feel about the girls. 'bodybag' is the best song on the album! It's so awesome you want to go and fight someone! 'Speakers blown' is another killer song with a catchy chorus and 'save your breath' is an 'up yours' to an ex flame who cheated on him... definately a favourite. this cd sounds awesome, is very catchy and a worthwhile addition to anyone who loves awesome pop-punk in the vein of nfg's self-titled album |

| To be honest I'm not that great at reviewing CDs, but would DEFINATELY recommend this one to any one who likes bands like Cartel......even if not, at LEAST check them out and give them a try. My brother and I love this CD, every song on it. |

| I first heard about Hit the Lights in Kerrang! and, while reading the review, I seemed to write them off as just another emo-ish, rubbish band basically, but I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY by this album!! I'm a big fan of New Found Glory (well, at least their stuff before their latest album) and this just reminded me of NFG so much. Also a bit of Fall Out Boy in there too...a great combination of happy tunes and meaningful lyrics. Well worth the money. |
