"Dork Rock Cork Rod" palindromic rock filled hooks that take cues from the Minutemen, Replacements, Elvis Costello, Black Flag, Green Day and the Zombies. An incredible rollercoaster ride of fast, slow, and really fast tempos with heart felt lyrics that hit close to home. The Ergs know how to rock. Whether they are playing trash, pop, punk or the occasional jazz, but no matter all these different styles the songs have that signature Ergs rock tattooed all over them.

| OH Miss Chokesondik!! The ErGs definetly do what they do very well. They remind me so much of The Descendents. I can honestly say that every single song on this album rocks. The lyrics really hit home as well. I would recommend this to any fan of pop punk. This is a great soundtrack for pounding a few beers with your mates. At least in my opinion it is. YOU BUY IT!!! YOU BUY IT!!! |

| This has quickly become one of my favorite albums. I saw the Ergs live last year and got some of their older stuff. Then when this came out I jumped on it. It's really good descendents-like punk. There are a lotta songs about lost love and relationships. It's not emo, it's punk with emo lyrics kinda. But the music is really good. Check em out. |

| This record is just what Pop Punk needs.
Wonderful Descendents/All style punk rock is what you'll find in this CD. Vocals are even similar to Milo's. Great songs here. Most of the songs are about girls and love. Even a nice tune about hiding in the shower (which includes my favorite lyric "I've always been a good American/I drank alot of soda/And I didn't question"). The playing is pretty good too. Mikey Erg does a great job with hard pounding drums that can get anyone up and dancing. Jeffrey Erg is a great guitarist, he can go from a varity of styles (jazz to hardcore to country to salsa then to thrash maybe?) so so quickly. Joey Erg is a wonderful bassist, all that damn Pepsi has really gave him the gift of speeded crazily good bass playing (i wish i played bass that well). Also there's a cover on this record, "Vampire Party". Perfect for your next prom.
Overall, pretty good stuff. It deserves nothing less than the highest rating possible. Go buy it for the love of pop-punk. |

| This is the like if ALL didn't get so full of themselves, and kept playing in the style of Late Descendents/early ALL albums. If you were dissapointed by the last few DESCENDENTS albums (as I was) buy this, its probably better than most of the later ALL records too. All the songs are pretty much about love and girls, except the ones about writing songs about love and girls, and the one about the vampire party which could be about gothic girls (which is a cover). Pick it up its good |
