With the U.S. ROUGHNECKS’ Hellcat debut, Twenty Bucks and Two Black Eyes, these cats get right to the claw. As rugged and uncompromising as the title suggests, the disc explores frontman Mike's troubled youth (“Summer of ’96”), celebrates the ‘Necks’ hometown scene (“Sacto’s Alright”) and flips the bird at local law enforcement (“Serve And Protect.”)

MAN WAS I DISSAPOINTED WITH THIS CD. I WAS HOPING FOR A MORE ROCK N ROLL STREET PUNK SOUND WITH THIS BAND. INSTEAD THEY SOUND LIKE EVERY OTHER OI BAND OUT THERE. GROUPS LIKE THE TEMPLARS, BUSINESS, AND TERMINUS CITY ARE THE ONLY REAL OI BANDS OUT THERE TODAY. THEY PUT THEIR OWN SOUND IN WITH A MIX OF ENGLISH 80'S OI MUSIC. THEY ARE THE ONLY BANDS WORTH LISTENING TO. I USE TO LOVE OI MUSIC BUT THE BANDS TODAY WHO PLAY IT(EXCEPT THE 3 BANDS I MENTION AND MAYBE A FEW OTHERS)SUCK. DONT GET ME WRONG THE ROUGHNECKS ARE NOT BAD. I PROB GIVE THEM A B- OR C PLUS BECAUSE THERE ARE SOME DECENT SONGS ON HERE. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THEY SOUND LIKE 100 OTHER BANDS. ITS OK TO SING OI MUSIC BUT MIX IT IN WITH YOUR OWN SOUND. WRITE SOME DECENT THOUGHTFUL LYRICS MIX IN WITH TUNEFUL MUSIC AND YOUR VOICE DOSENT HAVE TO SOUND LIKE IT WAS SCRAPE WITH SANDPAPER. I HOPE THEIR NEXT RELEASE WILL BE BETTER BECAUSE THEY ARE CAPABLE OF MAKING A GOOD ALBUM.
